There was a thread on this article already. With the combine and even senior bowl not even close, these rating will fluxuate big time. Look at last years around this time, not even close to how guys got drafted........

Kiper is just a reflection of what NFL GMs/scouts are thinking/feeling about the draft. He tries to portray his rankings as if they are true talent assessments, but all he is actually doing to trying to come up with justifications as to why a GM/scout or multiple GMs/scouts like/dislike a player. Also, with Millen as a GM for so long, is it really that hard to believe that at least 1 GM/scout thought that Carson Butler was a pass blocking machine who would never ever take a penalty or assumed that Mike Hart couldn't block because he was small without every actually looking at the game footage?

The NFL draft is on April 22...yes, that is over 6 months away. Who cares what Mel Kiper says in October? We all know BG is a stud who will be drafted somewhere in the first round, and that is all Mel Kiper can tell us right now too.

Mel Kiper is no better a talent evaluator than the average fan. The one thing he does have that gives him any level of accuracy are contacts. It only takes having a handful of scouting directors willing to talk to you and you can shape your board to resemble what the final draft order looks like.
