yes plz
Branden Dawson punches Purdue's Travis Carroll?
punch the player or the ball?
If an OSU fan divorces his wife are they still brother and sister?
I saw the video earlier, but at actual speed didn't think it looked like anything. With it slowed down, it sure looks like a punch.
The Purdue player clearly chest bumped his fist in the same manner Lewan throat bumped Gholston's fist a year ago. Judging by Their statement and Gholstons punishment last year he will probably be forced to go to the lockerroom at halftime of his next game.

Did anything ever happen after Justice Hayes took a swing at that Ohio player as he was running on the field. We never talked much about that...
I love Michigan...

I don't recall Hayes punching another payer but if he did then he should have been suspended.

But the other guy pushed him in the back first, so it's ok.

Sparty logic means that it's only ok to punch someone when they grab your facemask.

I don't know about you, but I've never found orcs to be trustworthy.
He did pound his own chest IMO. It looks like he reaches out and then pounds the upper left part of his chest or his left shoulder (Mark Wahlberg in "Fear" style). I think the Purdue player was drawing the ref's attention looking for a taunting call (which may have been deserved). It's still a douche move to pound your chest and talk shit like you just dunked on a guy, when all you did was try to box out while your teammate knocked down a shot.
I gave you an up vote not because I agree with you. But because I disagree with the practice of down voting differing opinions.
Edit- I appreciate the irony of getting a trolling vote for this comment.
Tenim un nom el sap tothom. Barca, Barca, BAAARCA!
Haha thanks. There are too many trolls and single minded people to worry about the points system. If you do anything except praise Michigan, you get negged. If you give your rivals any credit, or even the benefit of the doubt, you get negged. Luckily I'm usually on my phone app, so I can't even see the points and moderations. I didn't plan on catching Brian in points anytime soon anyway. lol
that Dawson didn't punch Carroll has a future in an NFL replay booth.
Excellent response. Kudos.
Praising mods is trolling? Tough crowd tonight.
apologies to anyone who saw the comment reappear; I uncaved him long enough to delete the individual comment so nobody on the app would be subjected to it, but that brought it back to life for a couple seconds here.
The users who replied to that post will get an email from MGoBlog about your comments being deleted: consider yourselves fully in the "collateral damage" area.

Boys will be boys. A little roughhousing but nothing too terribly bad.
Recall: RR didn't suspend Jonas Mouton for punch of ND player
Probably a one game suspension for Dawson.
It looks a helluva lot like a punch. It also looks like Carroll has absolutely no reaction consistent with getting punched in the abdomen, which doesn't seem to make sense. If you watch it enough times it kinda looks like he pulls it at the last second tho. I dunno, I'm gonna go out on a limb and if any additional footage comes out, I'm saying " no punch".
It's still a punch even if it's a bad punch. Dantonio (I respect Izzo) would tell him next time don't miss.
...just one man's opinion.
is the only way you can see that as not a punch. He clearly takes a swing which isn't totally conclusive but then Dawsen is doing a "tough guy stance" have his arms flexed/clenched right after and he's staring down the Purdue guy while the Purdue guy is looking back surprisingly. I'd like to hear Hollis actually explain that to me
Sure looks like a punch, but I'm not sure the "tough guy stance" proves it. That would also be consistent with pounding your own chest or otherwise trying to intimidate your opponent without being proceded by a punch.
The spokeman for MSU said, "The angle of Branden Dawson that BTN had during the broadcast certainly makes it look like there might have been a punch. However, I’ve viewed an angle from underneath the basket and that does not appear to be the case.” I found that to be an interesting choice of words. If the other angle MSU has clearly showed that he did not throw a punch, wouldn't the MSU statement be more definitively that no punch was thrown?

I shot a jumper from the the foul line and got fouled. The ball bounced on the rim a couple of times and finally bounced out. In frustration, I turned around and threw my fist in an uppercut motion. I didn't realize that a kid from the other team was right there. I hit him in the stomach. Everybody laughed. I went 1-2 on my foul shots.
In that game, I also broke my schools record for rebounds off of one's own missed shots, 6 in a row. I shot, missed, rebounded my shot six straight times. I finally missed the seventh. That was my last year playing basketball.
Tradition is something you can't bottle. But it is there to sustain you when you need it most. I've called upon it time and time again.
K? Thanks for that?
Blank.....Blank......You're not looking at the big picture here.
The crowd seemed to love it, as do our brethren to the north on their board.
At best he nearly threw a punch that caused the Purdue player to expect a shot, which probably should be treated with some discipline. I'm not sure if he connected, but based on how they've been policing games that should be called. But obviously, not the biggest deal in the world. Kids get in fights on the court all the time, and maybe it was growing up watching the Bad Boys, but I'm fine with some aggression being shown on the court.
I've never seen a full wind-up for a chest pound.

it's hard to imagine it isn't, hard to imagine MSU denying it. Be interesting to see how it plays out. Poor sportsmanship has, over time, become synonymous with the MSU name.
We are going to look like fools when they show a better angle. Especially since a Purdue player elbowed Trice and we aren't discussing that. At least we can be happy about Narduzzi leaving.
to register and post.
I'm guessing you only plan a post or two. And don't call me you people, I'm very clearly a donkey.

When the winds of changes shift
How many MSU threads have been on this board over the past month? 2? 3? Seems to me that a guy posting about an inferiority complex on a rivals message board might want to look in the mirror. I get it, you're pissed about your school's pathetic athletic performance, but let's try not to be a whiny bitch about it, ok?
Btw, people care about it because it's disgusting behavior and doesn't belong in sports, not because it's MSU (although frequently, the two do go hand in hand).
The better measure is the "new" or "recent" tabs, which track the most recently created and most recently commented on (respectively) threads. I see two, plus one where MSU is mentioned (the Army AA thread) in passing.
Go Blue!
He's right guys. I mean a thread about a Michigan State Bowl Game? It's not like we do that for every bowl game that's played. We MUST be obsessed.
The thread about Narduzzi really seals it though. I mean, it's not like we also posted about Soup Campbell at Iowa getting fired and Chris Beatty at Illinois too right? It's not that we just want to discuss a potential major coaching change that would have an arguably top 2 D Coordinator in the B1G leaving the B1G, right? No, it must be our inferiority complex.
Practice makes perfect. Unless you're the Buckeyes. Then you have to cheat.
Are we going to argue that we don't post way too much crap pertaining to MSU? Because we'll just be lying.
Go Blue!
They get about the same amount of talk as OSU/ND as far as actual athletics go (edit: in fairness, maybe a little less), but then everyone also feels the need to post about how they don't care about State and nobody else cares about them either. Then, as icing on the cake, everyone wants to find the "Sparty nooo!!!1!!" moment that will get a ton of upvotes, so we get a whole bunch even though most aren't very funny or interesting.
Go Blue!

When the winds of changes shift
Sorta like Wonders Hall: a lot of things "don't happen" and result in "case closed" at MSU.
We have like 3 threads a month on MSU where they have like 5 threads a day on us.
903 wins most in college football
proven or debunked as a punch yet but dies the league look at this like they did in football eg Tom Gholston.
Dawson seems like a good kid. Too bad he chose a coach who wont develop him to his potential.

He throws a power shot at the Purdue kid. How can they expect anyone to not see this in replay?
