Brady Hoke on Alabama radio today.

Submitted by GoBlue on

bornintheArbor found this tidbit (doesn't have enough points to post her own thread yet) and it seemed thread-worthy.  Didn't see it already posted.

A number of the questions (and answers) are familiar, but it's great to hear Coach Hoke spreading the Michigan (recruiting) footprint around the country.  Another benefit of the matchup at Jerry World.

Edit: when talking about last year's recruiting class they preface the question by saying somthing to the effect of "the recruits names won't mean anything to our fans down here" and I was thinking: "RollDamnTide certainly knows them!"

It's great to see Brady spreading the word down south.  It can only help in our recruiting down there.  Definitely one of the benefits of scheduling an OOC game against Bama.

I think Hoke has changed the tide on the rivalry. Hell people in Alabama are starting to believe him. Never in a million years I would have thought that. Selling Michigan jerseys is a good start.

So we have Alabama fans posting about radio shows in Michigan and Michigan fans posting about radio shows in Alabama. Seems a little off if you ask me...

Maybe Coach wishes he had a small earpiece with a curly feed wire running down his shirt rather than a full headset.    Never knew about his first vocation.

This is great.  Almost a half a year away from Michigan vs. Alabama and the media coverage is already happening.  The anticipation for this game is going to be TREMENDOUS!  There are only 2 other games of even minimal significance that first weekend- Boise St. at MSU on Friday night and Auburn vs. Clemson on Saturday.  All the pre-season hype in August will be focused on M & Alabama.  The NFL season won't start until Sept. 5!  There won't be a football player in the country- pro, college, high school or Pop Warner who won't be watching this game.  Buckle your seat belts!

were really impressed by Hoke and are now really concerned. I just get this feeling from almost 40 years of being a zany M and College Football Fan that Bama Fans rspect our program and our fanbase.

Hoke comes off confident and commanding, it's gonna be a dogfight Sept.1 and I can't wait.

Hoke is a great leader, and will restore Michigan back to a truly elite program.  I think if anyone is concerned, it is Urban Meyer.  I do not think he realized Hoke is a legit top coach, and is starting to notice.  3 years until Hoke is the reason for the next round of Meyer chest pains.

Tremendous Interview & a great find.   Everytime I hear Coach Hoke speak, I love him even more as our coach.

And...in that light...Id like to make a motion that mgoblog waive the requisite 100 pts...or whatever it is... necessary for "bornintheArbor" to be able to start threads on her own.

Can I get a second!?

I just now listened to that interview, it starts well with "The Victors" and goes from there.  Hoke comes across very well in the interview, 'Bama fans who listened had to have been impressed.  This "Eli" that does the interview did his homework and seems to know a lot about Michigan in general and the recent history of the program in particular---I could go on-and-on, but won't.  Listen for yourselves (if you haven't yet)---y'all be glad you did!
