Tom Brady is by far my favorite football player ever...

That said Vince Young in the Rose Bowl was correct as number one for all bowl games, and probably could be said to be number one offensive player in the history of college football...

No Tyrone Wheatley in the 1993 Rose Bowl?  15 carries for 235 yards, 3 touchdowns, and an average of 15.7 YPC isn't enough?  TD's of 86, 56, and 24 yards can't even crack the top 25?

Tough crowd.

Should have been on there at least ahead of Gaston Green if for no other reason than that Green's performance was in the Freedom Bowl and Tyrone's was in The Grandaddy of Them All

The amazing thing is that Wheatley had severe back spasms in that game, which limited him to the 15 carries.  If he had been healthy enough to play the whole game his stat line would have been insane.

The amazing thing about Brady's performance in the Orange Bowl was that although he ended up with a fantastic completion rate of 34-46...there were at least 5 easy drops that were right in his WRs hands.  He could have ended up 40-46.

Should be on this list. What a crock of crap. I always liked how he put his hands on his hips, and just stand there for a moment after scoring a TD. He did that in the south end zone of Kinnick Stadium right in front of me once. It was awesome.

Wheatley had an absolutely monstrous performance that night. I still get chills thinking about that game. In terms of ranking Michigan bowl games in my memory that would have to be #2 for a couple reasons. The main being getting revenge for being beaten, by Washington, the year before.

The formatting of that Sporting News article sucks if you're trying to read it on a smart phone....did Marcus Dupree's first half against AZ State make the list?  IIRC that record still stands.

EDIT: Apologies; I was able to review the list, and it is badly flawed. Ty Wheatley needs to be on there SOMEWHERE, as does Marcus Dupree (200 rushing yards in ONE HALF)...and Vince Young needs to be on there twice, as his Rose Bowl performance against Michigan in the 2005 game was maddening and introduced him to a national audience.

How weird is it seeing Mark Sanchez on that list in a game played against Penn State in 2009? It seems like Sanchez has been in the NFL forever (which is what overexposure via the NY media will do for you, I suppose), but it is also weird to know that Penn State was that good so recently.
