Another pointless BR article filled with unexciting, well known stats, filler wording, way too many oversized superfluous images and bland infographics which is doing an excellent job of getting page clicks by quasi-trolling the U of M fanbase and and stroking the egos of Michigan rivals/haters.

I honestly don't see why there is so much BleacherReport hate on this site. I get that it's not the most legit of sources/information, but it's still something. I kinda think of it as the Wikipedia of sports websites. It has some good reads on there, although they aren't Mgoblog quality. Guess I'm in the minority on this one.

I don't visit the site much, but the few times that I have were pretty awful reading experiences. Some bad grammar, awful formats that don't fit the writing style, and too many stories that really dont say anything more that what a quick Google search could tell you. Just some bad writing overall. It's a shame, too, because it seems like they always have one or two legitimate writers on their staff but their articles are always forced into slideshow formats that make it unreadable, just for the sake of extra page clicks.

Part of the reason is that Bleacher Report has a history of plaigarism as well as not attributing quotes with their proper sources, so that in addition to being a bit clickwhorish, as they seem to say, cotributes to the dislike. I believe that this site has been used as a source even on a few occasions and not been properly credited.

I went to the Rose Bowl that year.  Talk about a deflating game to attend.  First drive Chad hits Braylon for what would've have been a TD but no.....drops the ball.  But we drive down to their 10 yard line anyways only to take a sack or something and then miss a field goal.  TOP about 7 minutes = 0 points.  USC takes the  ball and scores in about 30 seconds if memory serves.

Then we get it back...have a looooooong drive down AGAIN to inside their 20 where we get stuffed on a 4th and short and give the ball back only to have USC immediately score again.

Down 14-0, TOP about 13 minutes to 2 and all those God Damn USC cheers echoing in my head forever.

Good times.

USC.  They were the opponent for the 2003-season Rose Bowl, played on 1/1/04.  Texas was the oppnent for the 2004-season Rose Bowl, played on 1/1/05.

Ah the good old days when you would say "Michigan Rose Bowl" and people would need to say "Which one?"

Wow, maybe Bleacher Report has a point.

You need to keep your heartbreak straight.  That was the year before.  And my main memory of that game, other than Braylon dropping the wide open easy TD bomb, was when a Navarre pass bounced up off of Braylon's heel and right into the hands of a USC player when we were inside our own 20.  I don't know what Michigan did to piss off the Rose Bowl GODS but it must have been massive, because that kind of shit has been happening in that stadium since the Nixon adminstration.

We had the better team that year. That has to have always sucked going up against USC in the Rose Bowl with their fan base right there. Crock of s_it. I like the Rose Bowl dont get me wrong but I want to see some bowl games or even the playoff games here in the next couple years play somewhere near Ann Arbor. Give us the advantage that we've never ever had in the bowl season. Some time in the next 20 years at least. Like Indy or Detroit. Where are these playoff games going to be anyway?

Reading this stuff makes me sad.  5 or more losses in 5 of the past 9 years makes it worse.   10 years ago an 8-4 season was considered a major let down now we are hoping to go 8-4.  Hopefully team 135 is fed up with this kind of mediocrity and can prove the doubters wrong.

Spare me the high-minded criticism of BR's writing. If it were about a decade's worth of Buckeye ineptitude, the OP would be getting posbanged.
