Andy and Lars are morans.
no, YOU'RE off topic
Andy and Lars are morans.
Originally had us in the Rose bowl in the preseason predictions, now has Wisconsin instead. I wonder why he changed his mind.
Funny... you call them morons and yet you don't know how to spell the word. Moron is a term once used in psychology to denote mild mental retardation. I don't know what "moran" means but I believe the word refers to an old, old wooden ship.
Used during the civil war era correct?
you must be new to the internets
I like reading these type of articles just to get a feel for what everyone outside the MGoBlog community thinks of not only Michigan, but other teams in the national landscape. I do have to laugh though at how one guy says Alabama will definitely lose one game this season, and then the very next guy says Alabama will win every game on it's schedule by at least 14 points.
Please no USC. I hate playing USC in the Rose Bowl. Home field advantage and that awful fight song.
I'd like to see Michigan play Oregon State in that game. USC wouldn't be too bad, but I really don't want to see Oregon in that game. That offense scares me, even with Mattison drawing up a gameplan.
Dah DAAAH, dah DAH dah Dum, dah DAH dah Dum, dah DAH dah Dum.
(repeat infinity times)
I think you'd want to play USC. Their offense is not nearly as hot as everyone predicted they would be, and their defense is short on depth. IMO you would win going away.
I'm not sure what people are seeing in Wisconsin. Yes, they dominated Purdue. But two weeks ago Wisconsin couldn't move the ball in the second half against Nebraska's atrocious defense.
I love me some Mike Riley but playing Oregon State in the Rose Bowl would be a yawner.
I just want to go to the Rose Bowl desperately... I dont care who its against
i don't have much interest in playing usc either, now that i think about it. it brings back bad flashbacks, and the rose bowl is a virtual home game for them.
It's not a virtual home game for them. It is a real home game, in fact.
USC plays in Memorial Coliseum. UCLA plays in the Rose Bowl.
Well, sir... I happen to know that it isn't their stadium.
If USC comes to Detroit and plays us in the Ford Field, I will call it a home game, no matter how you spin it.
You can call it a home game, but that doesn't make it a home game.
i have zero interest in playing oregon. i am praying they go undefeated, because if we end up playing them in the rose bowl, you might as well put us down for a loss right now.
It pretty much looks like a foregone conclusion that Notre Dame will make it to a BCS bowl. Very disappointing. I'm still thinking that they'll lose two games (at OU and at USC). Maybe BYU will sneak up and beat them this week. They're most likely BCS bound with two losses. With three losses....not so much.
Sir, this thread is for discussing mgoblogger associated websites.
I love reading Aunt Stabby's contribution to a mainstream media outlet. She sticks out in the best way.
Here's the predictive chance of the top 3 contenders to win the conference (automatic BCS bid conferences)
It's still too early for these kinds of lists, but they usually make for interesting discussion.
To the tenths place? That's a little much.
How the hell is it flamebait to point out the silliness of putting a tenths place in a chart as uncertain as this one? Are there people out there who actually think this sort of prediction can be that accurate? Sheesh.
I like the matchup with Oregon St. I think we matchup well with them. USC isnt as intimidating as people think. i think we could handle them. Oregon is the only team in the Pac-12 that scares the crap outta me
I know they're clearly not as good as everyone expected and are a team we'd have a darn good shot at beating, but I still have nightmares about USC. I'd rather not play them in the Rose Bowl either...
I think the laws of physics were just violated. Did the matrix glitch? This thread just got cut in half or something.
That was me. I'm trying to save the content of the thread without unpublishing the whole thing. It got a little out of hand and was a little too personal for one unexpecting MGoUser. Its not fair to him to have the discussion live for eternity so I axed it. Sorry for the confusion.
It's less confusing now anyway.
Thank you profit
Now all proof is lost that you think I am an intelligent person. Friendship revoked!
Hey, I'm happy to repeat it. Your posts are always very well-written. It sucks that the well-written satire is often fired my way, but I can still appreciate the skill level involved. No question.
I've always liked the predictions on CBS Sports, although they seem a little off right now.
Oregon State's remaining schedule
Notice no USC on the schedule. If OSU's only lose is to Oregon in the Civil War, I don't see how OSU does not make the Rose Bowl (assuming Oregon wins out).
Nice to see Michigan thought of so well at SI. I'm really looking forward to every single game from here on out. After this Saturday, I'll feel a lot better in predicting the rest of the season. If we beat MSU convincingly with our defense keeping them from running between the tackles, and if our offense can move on their defense, I could then see us legitimately winning out every game in the regular season.
I really haven't seen what in Wisconsin would cause some to favor them, but I can't see losing to the Badgers.
While it will be great to go back to the Rose Bowl, I don't know how well we stack up . . . yet. Stanford, USC, Oregon, and Oregon State all seem like very good teams. I still think it will be at least another year, if not two, before Michigan is clicking on all cylinders.
Sees Michigan vs USC Rose Bowl, has horrible flashbacks, curls up in fetal position, mumbles jibberish no one can comprehend
We have #1 B1G vs #1 Pac 12 (likely #2 because of Oregon) Michigan vs USC/Stanford/ASU based on losses.
#2 B1G vs #2 SEC (likely #3 this year because of Bama) and #3 B1G vs #3/4 SEC (likely #4/5) and B1G # 4/5 vs #6 SEC (likely #7) Northwestern, Nebraska, Wisconsin facing any 3 of Georgia, South Carolina, LSU, Florida, or Mississippi State depending on league play, and whoever loses to bama in the SEC championship getting that extra loss.
#4/5 B1G vs #4 Big12, B1G #6 vs Big 12 #6, and B1G #7 vs CUSA #5 and B1G #8 vs MAC #2. Maybe Minnesota, State, Purdue, or Iowa become eligible and face off against Texas, West Virginia, Marshall, or Toledo/Northern Illinois.
lmao.. "Wisconsin will upset michigan, then in the rose bowl they will play USC where they will beat them too"
If UW beats USC i will quit watching football for the rest of my life
