Bowl Game outlook

Submitted by DISCUSS Man on

What bowl do you think Michigan ends up in now?

Rose and Capital One are out of the question now. As well a BCS At-Large.

There are 8 bowl games to fill, the B1G only has 7 bowl eligible teams. illinois, indiana & northwestern are at 3-6, 4-5 & 4-5 respectively. So unless they pull magic out of their ass, it looks like no B1G team will be headed to Detroit.

I'm not a fan of repeating non Rose bowls in back to back years, so I kinda would rather go to Tempe and the BWW Bowl than do Tampa and the Outback Bowl again

the real thing to do is decline all bowl invites if we lose out and go 6-6

but knowing Dave Brandon, he'll make the team go to one so he can pimp out some sweet new uniformz

Anyone who declines a bowl invite is a damn fool. Extra practices.

That's the only thing that really matters in these kinds of bowls. And you get a neat little trophy and t-shirt if you win. Plus a check via bowl game payout.

That's part of the reason to increase the size of the conference.  Don't think that we could turn one down if we wanted to.  They don't want to so don't worry.  You'll have the opportunity to see Al Borges one more time around the holidays.

Had we won today, I would've said something like the Gator or Outback Bowl. Now I can't envision anything better than the BDubs bowl. The little Caesars bowl is a very legitimate possibility.

At this rate, I couldn't care less about the bowl itself. I only want a bowl for the extra practices.

Michigan won't play in BWW bowl. 2 years ago 6-6 Ohio State took on 6-6 Florida in the Gator Bowl. We will be in Florida I'm sure. I'm still guessing Gator Bowl vs Texas AM or Ole Miss.

Screw the Outback Bowl. I rather not see Michigan play an SEC team this year.

Saw people projecting Michigan vs Oklahoma or Texas in the Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl. Very winnable games. OU offense is horrendous.

Plus Michigan can do all new kinds of formations that work that they could've used during the season ala 2008 Capital One Bowl.

He liked the intensity of it. Wait, I've got it. No one at a press conference has ever ask if they have been practicing Football during the week. Maybe they have really been preparing for some sort of Glee based production during the Ohio game.

Pregame Pizza party at the Tiger Club @ Comerica. 10 cent slices & you get a can of pop with each slice.

Lloyd Carr presents the trophy too.

At least I'd get to see Michigan play in a bowl game in person. Don't want any part of NIU though.
