Does anyone know where i can download this, mp3 format, so i can put on a CD?
"Rodrick Williams Jr.'s 10-month old, 2-foot-long savannah monitor named "Kill" gets the RB some strange looks when they go for walks together."
*Tears* I don't you think you can ever find another speech that is as heartening as that. Bo was simply one of the best. Hands down.
I could listen to that a million times over and it would still have the same effect. God Bless Bo.
"We're going to believe in each other, we're not going to criticize each other, we're not going to talk about each other, we're going to encourage each other!"
Now see, this is exactly the problem - the fan base for whom the tradition of winning and Bo is so all important, has forgotten the lessons of Bo. After 40 years of continuity, we don't know how do deal with such a change, what to expect, and how to behave ...
Well it is time for an all out press, similar to the one mounted after the Freep jihad for the Western and the Notre Dame games.
I can't be in Ann Arbor, but we need to get the word out as many places as we can: support the team one more time, send in emails of encouragement, flood the message boards and both the WTKA shows with the following message: regardless of what you think of Rich, this is The Game against Ohio State: cheer your hearts out for four quarters, leave it all in the stadium, and let the team know you support them.
the "Inches" speech by Pacino in Any Given Sunday, the words ring truer than ever.
That is a great speech that never gets old.
you didn't just put a speech by an actor in the same breath as Bo's The Team speech. Pacino didn't even write that shit.
No sir, i was not comparing, just thought about it, and even if Pacino didnt write it, to me as far as sports movies go, thats one of my favorite scenes ever. I was simply stating his message kind of hits home with this team, Michigan can either pull it together as a team and fight for each other and win this game, or they can continue on their path and crumble. Nothing compares to Bo, so no, no comparison, just admiration for a great cinematic moment.
Double Post* Move along
The ghosts of Yost, Crisler, Schembechler, and all other Michigan greats are with us Saturday.
Ps. For all the students on this board, they have the "Go Blue, M Club Supports You" banner on the diag today and you can sign it.
Man, I can't believe Al didn't win the Oscar for this one. Serpico was such a badass movie.
Did they get the Big10 championship that year?
This fires me up for Saturday
