OMG Shirtless

Voted 30x - 3 email addresses - 3 computers...For Penn State.  Out of Spite.  I know I'm not the only one at this point.  Fuck the Bobblethon.

or...in response to being called out in a video game thread for not complaining.

Sorry Boss...When I got home from work, there was only one NCAA thread.  It is release day, I can deal with it.  Nobody is asking me to do anything.  Nobody is trying to give me a reminder.  Nobody is trying to guilt me into doing something.

The Bobblethon threads are like the fucking greenpeace/save the whales jacktards with their damn clipboards that I used to see on campus and are still all over the place.  You can walk right past them but they're still annoying as fuck, and you yearn for the days when Old Redface/Captain America/Marvin/ any of the other Ann Arbor homeless would beat the fuck out of them for infringing on their territory.

or from the thread that was eventually locked because it was the 5th thread on the bobblethon of the day.

http://www.baylorfans.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=17124&d=1270142395

This is either the 4th or 5th thread on the goofy ass bobblethread contest of the day. (I can't keep track now that they're mercifully getting deleted) I get it.  I voted.  Twice.  Fuck the damn Bobblethon.

Note: The remainder of this post is for the thread/topic in general and is no longer directly strictly to FormerlyAnonymous' post.

It is my opinion that the Bobblethon threads are a nuisance.  I made a smartass comment in the fifth thread on the topic on Monday.  I silently negged the other threads, but obviously I'm not the only one who thought 5 threads in a day was excessive, as a Mod locked the thread.  My other two comments were in response to BoBo getting all butthurt because someone didn't like his thread on the interwebz and then getting all self righteous about what Bo would say if he could see people making fun of his thread.   His martyr act is nearly as tiresome as the Bobblethon threads.

For the record, despite what I may rant, I've voted for Michigan 20x each day.  10x from home, 10x from work.

On my voting habits, yes I downvote a lot.  There is a TON of dumbshit on this board.  I downvote nearly everyone of my own posts, because for the most part they are all stupid.  (Not that it does anything, but its funny to see the reactions when people wonder on the rare occasion why my posts were negged).  There is absolutely no need to upvote good posts anymore.  Magnus has a shitload of points, what the fuck is of posbanging anyone over 250 points?  Absolutely nothing.  yet I've given out roughly 7000 posbangs to go along with the 13,000 negs.  And I'm only third most negative on the vote sum rankings, thank you very much.  (Not nearly as bad if you could sort it by ratio)

Finally, there is no need to group me in with FormerlyAnonymous, for the most part his only comments regarding the bobblethon were jokes that you blew out of proportion.  I'm a jackass, he is not.

There are 7 downvotes.  Five of them are on days when there were multiple posts about it. The other 2 were on days when the previous Bobblethon thread was still in the top 10 most recent posts on both the "Recent Posts" or on the "MGoBoard".

It's a worthy cause. I support Bobblethon. Dare I even admit I've made my ten votes a day for the last week and a half?

My point was there was an overload of threads. That was all. I've repeated myself that anything negative that would come from me in the comments would be from shear numbers of threads. Lo and behold, someone, or multiple someones to be specific, got annoyed. They overreacted. It happens. Often in the off season. Get over it.

as a mod, FA looks to maintain the board by keeping topics... topical and maintain the flow of communication without constant distractions, etc. people have gotten to a point that the bobblethon is becoming a distraction on the board and less of an inspired effort. everyone wants to win but, to some degree, the fervor in which people are posting about it has become a pester of sorts.

with that said, i have literally never seen you post anything except about the bobble thread or bitching at people for not respecting the bobble contest. you have two options: deal with it or become "the guy who went on a tirade bc people didn't respect the bobble authoritah." if i posted daily a link to the Hunger Site, do you not think people, despite the fact each click donates 3 cups of rice to a starving nation, would grow tired? even if i listed it as OT each time?

you've taken any negativity regarding the bobble posts as your cross to bear.

bear with me. bear with me.

be with me tonight (on this issue).

+5 MGoPoints to anyone who gets the reference without Google.

BoBo - drop it. FA is reasonable on this issue. this isn't mod on mod love or people banding against you. it's rational annoyance. suck it up or be that guy.

HAPPY TAPE MEASURE DAY EVERYONE! (true story)

You have been supportive, but please don't be a shill for these guys. They got what they want and now they need to own it.

This is either the 4th or 5th thread on the goofy ass bobblethread contest of the day. (I can't keep track now that they're mercifully getting deleted) I get it.  I voted.  Twice.  Fuck the damn Bobblethon. (OMG Shirtless)

[I will go back and find an appropriate FA comment. Give me 60 seconds.]

you called out FA bc he dared to fucking downvote something. seriously. just stop taking it so seriously. we don't have to be ALL IN on multiple bobble posts, etc. everyone hopes UM wins. people taking it seriously enough to show outrage when anyone questions the frequency of posting or lack of TRUE SUPPORT (LOVE IT OR LEAVE IT: BOBBLETHON 2K10) are being mocked. that's about it.

i'm debating submitting that slogan to Underground printing

Geaux Blue used to be sane and rational.

Now he is circling the wagons for his MGOBlog mods/friends.

See Geaux Blue dance.

See Geaux Blue sit up and beg.

[I will go back and find an appropriate FA comment. Give me 60 seconds.]

60 seconds has passed. 60 minutes has passed. Huh? Might I suggest this one, it's as hostile as I've gotten:

I made a statement the other day that there have been a bunch of Bobblethon threads lately and it was getting to the point of ridiculous. Today it's dialed up even more. Obviously, the person above me hit their limit on what they could take.

I'm not bored or annoyed enough to want to do an unwarranted attack. I specifically used unwarranted because this effort of winning the bobblethon isn't a bad thing. It should be encouraged. My attack would be pointless and counterproductive, hence me not making an attack anywhere.

And what unintelligent decision have I made? What "moran" do you refer to? What makes you think that "we can't do any worse than FA"?

I've been civil in defending myself. You've offered nothing constructive. Enlighten me. Please.

...you have to do, dude.  OMG Shirtless has the [third] most negative voting pattern of all users.  I honestly don't understand why someone votes down all the time and seemingly never up so damn much.

FA is level headed and more importantly -- he provides useful and interesting content for us to consume.  I fail to comprehend what purpose it serves to attack him like you did.

No, but that is a very nice way of putting it. We were told to go away and we have. Congratulations and good luck.

That was my first comment in the thread, which started everything. I didn't attack anyone.

One team, one fight!

There is nothing about you guys that is "one team, one fight." If there was, we wouldn't be having this back and forth. The only thing any of you care about w.r.t. Michigan is the reflected glory. In the end, it is all about "What's in it for me, Al Franken."
