Bobble: Time to take it over the top!

Submitted by James Burrill Angell on

Like Sylvester Stallone's Lincoln Hawk in this truly foul 80's movie, its time to take it over the top against Penn State in the Bobblethon. Make with the Tapping people. We're still in second place but our meter has been at least 10% higher than PSU's since Saturday and we're at 98% now to their  78% right now. Charles is bobbing his head like he's listening to Dr. Dre.

...another mention in yesterday's AAUM e-TrueBlue email of the bobblethon:

There is simply no way that there isn't something fishy going on. Its like a broken record now. We go crazy, take the lead, and then all at once our meter plummets, Penn State's goes past ours, and we lose the lead again.

I really don't care for conspiracies like this, but I'll make an exception in this case. The implication here is that there is a cluster of PSU fans that check the thing obsessively and NEVER tap until they lose the lead. Its horse crap, and if we don't win this in the end, I'm sending them an E-mail demanding to know how many PSU interns are working for them.

It does. It was at 100% earlier, and now its way down, while PSU's is way up. The last and to my knowledge only time that happened to PSU it stayed there for a good long time, which is what made the gap we had until a few hours ago made up.

I know that it's just us, too, because I check the other schools and they don't go down either, so its not some kind of scaling deal to make it so the meter doesn't max out.

Edit: Oops, this was meant to be a reply to the above post.

Also, I would like to add right now that if they're getting us for bogus E-mail addresses that isn't fair either, because they aren't being transparent about it and I'm sure Penn State is doing the same thing to make these pushes.
