Blood Battle (Blood Drive)
Hey, I just wanted to put out here that Blood Batle is currently going on and need your help.
For those of you who don't know, Blood Battle is a huge blood drive competiton that uses the rivarly between U of M and OSU to motivate people to donate blood!
We have won the past 3 or 4 times, but It's not about who wins, it's about saving lives. And by donating blood, you can save 3.
If you're interested in donating, you can schedule an appointment online at redcrossblood.org (blood drives are on campus). From there, click on the box that says "enter a sponsor code" in the area that says "find a blood drive near you," and use the code, "goblue". You can also try to walk in and donate, but the wait will be much longer. I really encourage you to schedule an appointment online if you are interested in donating.
The entire Blood Battle committee, especially the chairs, work very hard to make this event a success and It would be great if we can help get them a win for their efforts. For more information, please refer to their facebook page.

I'm proud of the fact that I'm an official organ donor on my license, but unfortunately I don't put myself in life threatening conditions often enough for it to seem like that big of a gesture.
In all seriousness I might have to get involved with the blood drive this year.

I was at the donor event at the Stadium Club on 11/3. It was good to see people coming in to donate blood and sign up for other donation registries. It was also nice to see that a fans were rewarded with a trip to the expensive seats overlooking the field.
Good idea. I hope Michigan does it again and atracts more donors.

I have to be at a meeting next week near campus anyway, so the appointment has been scheduled. I've done this every year since I was a freshman in 1996. Thanks for the reminder!
