It seems like that would be pretty cumbersome to host. I wouldn't want it if I were running a blog.

but really made for some good old fashioned MGoSwagger to have "our" blog hosting the thing... I'll miss the updates here, even though I'll obviously still read it religiously at SBN.

And with that, the BlogPoll jumps the shark. The BlogPoll was great because it was fun to read the analysis -- in Brian's unique style -- with which it came.
Brian is the only true Whack Ballot Watchdog.

To be honest, I don't mind. It got kind of annoying in the middle of the season when the BlogPoll ate up the whole front page here.

SBN wanted to move up the publication date and I couldn't do it because Monday is game column day and damned if anything's going to get in the way of that. SBN is the right place for it so there it goes. Also, while I liked getting it together it was a lot of maintenance and without it I can put that effort into MGoStuff.
We'll still vote. I might even vote.

Now that it's purely an SBN endeavor I hope to hell this doesn't mean they're going to kick off all the non-SBN blogs.

Figured I'd respond: No, I won't be kicking off all the non-SB Nation blogs. The greatness of the BlogPoll lies in part in how many different teams and blogs are represented, and as long as a blog is still active and interested, I'm going to make my best effort to keep it involved.

Your HTTV 2010 link actually links to the 2009 version, which is confusing on two counts since it's now 2011.
