Bizarro Michigan loves Purdue

(and Paris Hilton if you watch Seth Green's Robot Chicken). Well, Martin was really honest (to his credit) that he didn't know who was in those helmets last week. Quite honestly, neither did I or any of the multitudes of posters who can't seem to get their head around the concept of having such a disaster of a team. When UI fans are asking me for a rematch and NW fans are wishing we were on the schedule this year, we are in Bizarro Michigan world where we can’t find our footing in a tough o-line or hard-nosed defense. Saying things like “well were a 3-9 team last year” just doesn’t compute because I am not old enough to remember a time when we had such disarray. Growing up in Iowa and eventually moving back after a number of years working other places, I was able to see the transition there to Ferentz. It was a 1-11 first year disaster followed up next year by more losses from a scrappy team who at least battled hard every game. They ended the year winning 3 of the 4 last games including a trip to a lower tier bowl. While I may be only speaking for myself, I would hope to at least see that same sort of fight tomorrow. While I don’t think we will pull off winning our last 3 of our last 4, we better damn well be scrapping until the end. I am ready to get out of Bizarro world.

now how do I get back to non-Bizarro Michigan world? I've tried holding my breath, which works to wake up from bad dreams, but doesn't work here.

Yeah I've had enough of how the other half lives too; be patient, the turnaround will happen and when it does I think it will be to a sustained level of excellence this program hasn't acheived in decades. Unless you count X-Box 360.
