Billy Taylor documentary on BTN tonight

Submitted by Built Ford Tough on

I heard on WTKA this morning that “Redemption: the Story of Dr. Billy Taylor” will be on BTN tonight at 9 (or 9:30). I’ve seen some background on the film posted on the board before, and this is your chance to catch it. It sounds like a great story about a Michigan great that fell into some hard times and was able to turn his life around.

Here's the site for Get Back Up, which is Billy Taylor's organization, for anyone unfamiliar with it -

On the site, there are some interviews he has conducted with local media here in Detroit, as well as highlights from his career at Michigan (most are YouTube links, but definitely worth a look).

My parents went to a screening last night put on by the University of Michigan Club of NH in Concord. Billy Taylor was there and spoke after the screening... they said it was a great documentary and "you can't miss it!".

Given there are few things on TV besides Michigan games that they'd say that about, I'm looking forward to it.
