"What (Michigan coaches) told me is that they're focusing on point guards right now, but if anything opens up, they'll definitely come back on and recruit me as hard as they were," said Towns
Can't bank nothin' til february, billy boy.
This guy is looking for attention.
He's just looking for attention b/c he said something you don't want to be true? He's probably right so I would think he's just being honest. It's true that anything can change between now and February but the chances of anything changing with Dunn are slim to none.
He's openly considering Michigan and attended the last big recruiting event we had, plus he's coming to the night game. Just based on that I'd say the odds are closer to 50/50 than zero.
Not sure who Bill Green is, but if Dunn wants to stay on that sinking ship, it's his loss.
Scout's Ohio recruiting analyst. I wouldn't bank on anything anyone's saying about Dunn. Like another poster said, his recruitment won't end until he signs somewhere.
But that's true for every recruit.
Bill is usually pretty conservative with his predictions. This one was made after visting Dunn at a GlenOak scrimmage (where Dunn played with a "Go Bucks" bracelet, FWIW... not much).
This one seems to be drifting OSU's way the last few weeks. Bill's not the first insider to say this one is over.
I thought you were a Cal Bears fan...
seems like a good enough reason for a random Alex Morgan picture
A true internet legend... and Cal Bear.
Just asking. Not for me, but for a "friend" of mine.
Gee willickers batman! She is absolutely gorgeous.
And she's pointing, too. Maybe she's a Hoke fan.
With that title and that picture you should have more than 373 points.
But there's also been some insiders who have speculated he's anything but a lock which is what I'm getting at. I certainly wouldn't be recommending anyone to bank on Dunn signing with OSU as of now regardless of Greene's tweet.
That was before the NCAA decided to wimp out with OSU. They're getting a slap on the wrist, therefore Dunn is staying with OSU.
I get you are a rational fan, but seriously you go out of your way to down play every piece of OSU news be it tat-gate or recruiting. What gives? You were obviously very wrong on Tressel keeping his job.
I just like "balancing the room". If it makes you feel better, I argue the exact opposite on OSU sites.
So you don't have real insight and just play devils advocate for the hell of it? I don't get what this adds to the board besides disagreeing to disagree. Don't get me wrong I appreciate your work with the app., I just don't understand what being a contrarian for the hell of it does for anybody.
How much does a "me too" post add to the board? Mgoblog is a place for intelligent conversation. Sometimes this goes out the window when it comes to discussing Ohio State. I try to lend a little balance to the conversation.
I'm not insulting anyone. I'm not being rude or disrespectful. I'm not making any crazy, off the wall claims. My posts are on topic. I'm not sure why anyone would have a problem with it.
All I said in this thread is that Bill Greene has a history of being professional and balanced, which a lot of other posters agreed with.
Like an autograph?
Dunn sporting the Buckeyes wrist band tonight...A little bit of an assumption I'm guessing on this guys part just because of the wristband??????? We''ll see what happens in Columbus with sanctions before we get a good idea of where he's going.
No, it wasn't based on the wristband.
That's what he should do. Sounds like our current RB class is coming together nicely.
Agreed, I'm not worried. I would rather take another DT at this point, honestly.
Would love to have Dunn, but having another DT in this class would be just as good.
makes the positive Wes Brown news more significant.
That's a good point. I'm sure Bri'onte is going to tell Bill Green of Scout Ohio that he's heavily considering Michigan. He's been very quiet the whole time, and has emphasized his commitment to OSU repeatedly. I see no reason to believe anything has changed. He's technically committed, but still considering. I'll believe the cause is lost if he cancels his ND game visit.
I hope we get Dunn. I would be equally happy with Wes Brown.
After watching the highlights of each back, they do look pretty similar. Brionte's a little taller, but they have about the same build. Dunn seemed a little better with yards after contact, while Brown seemed better at making the first tackler miss. Both have good speed, but are not burners...it might take them a few more seconds to chase down Denard in the endzone during a touchdown celebration.
I think for being an OSU homer and beat writer, that he is quite balanced
Besides, the most likely scenario is that BD stays committed to tOSU. If something happens with the NCAA, that changes, but until then, we are on the outside looking in.
But I'm not going to be heart broken if he does stick it out down there. I have this feeling (and I hope I'm right!) that Justice Hayes is going to end up being our featured back from his sophomore season on out. Aside from having a top shelf football name, he's a versatile back that can catch the ball well out of the backfield and evidently has good enough speed to return punts and kicks according to an earlier post. Plus, he didn't hesitate to Go Blue after Dee Hart defected to Bama. It says a lot about how much he wants to be a Wolverine that he left a Notre Dame program that many might say are on the rise after they ended last year on a better/higher note than "we" did.
He just BK Finest'd it.
we'll see how committed he really is
But the issue with Dunn has never been who the coach is. He's always said he's worried about a post-season ban. If that happens, than I highly doubt he stays committed to OSU.
He's really going out on a limb there saying a current OSU commit will be a Buckeye.
Looking forward to seeing your new avatar with the completed screen-backs.
avatar uploads are down again--I can't get my picture to upload, and I've tried all the allowed formatting options. Hence, the picture signature.
He can go to Ohio bye I hope he enjoys getting his ass kicked by Michigan for the next 4 years.
This isn't Bucknuts. Let's try to maintain some class, especially for a kid who says he's still committed to Michigan and has an official visit planned here in a month.
Hmmm, he might be onto something ...
I went to my credit union and they said they wouldn't accept tweets.
In all seriousness, why worry too much until Dunn signs in several months? Regardless of his decision, I wish him luck, but I must say, I think he'd look pretty damn good in maize and blue. Actually, the RB class is looking pretty good as it is, so as great an addition as he would be, I think we're looking pretty good regardless.
This one has a long way to go. On any given week I believe it sways back in forth between us leading and OSU. Bright side is Brown is at least another very good option.
