Still haven't got my offer yet but I'll sign as soon it arrives in the mail. I have all the things you'd want in a white football player:

  • Grit
  • High IQ
  • Team Player
  • Gym-rat
  • Hustle
  • Deceptive speed (but not really)

I think Bunting could wind up being a very similar player to Devin Funchess.  Not the heaviest kid; but tons of height, speed, and huge hands.  I'm looking for a breakout year from Jake Butt; but this kid Bunting is going to be one to watch in a couple years.

What the hell, I'm just sitting here at the Canteen having a Cole beer with a side of jalapeno Peppers, so let's discuss.  Our coaches have Marshall'd up Pallante of great new talent to help us Chase down a few Mone B1G Championships, and all are good kids so I'll try not to Speight anyone (okay that was bad).

Some self-proclaimed chick-Wangler might sign with MSU looking Furbush and maybe find Mo Ways to skip class than my dopey brother.  Their attitude is "Watson it for me?"  In terms of education...clearly they'll be Bunting while our guys swing for the fence.  Let's face it...In the forest of educational giants, MSU raises Ferns.

Oh, and if we can't reach an MGoConsensus, we could always take a Harris poll.

And Butt being all big and tall, and the other receivers being tall... Norfleet could have a field day and all of this can create a crazy mismatch in the field. With a run game of course. With linemen. Who can move people. Kinda.

I think they were severely underrated when they committed. That's understandable given their junior season, but give the staff credit for seeing their potential over some higher ranked players. Although the immediate need is for a slot, I think Canteen could be just as good on the outside. Watson may have a tougher time getting snaps as a true freshman, but I would not be surprised to see him become a solid DB.

If were going by rivals ranking of Speight then yes we should consider him a sleeper.  Along with many others here though i wouldnt consider him a sleeper.  Hearing him talk in interviews really has me believe this young man will be something special for Michigan.  I hear leadership in his voice.  More so than our other quarterbacks.  Combine that with his mobility,  size,  accuracy and throw on the run.  Well,  lets all be excited.  My sleepers though are Chase Winovich and Bryan Mone.  Winovich just needs to add on some weight which might take about two years but he has as much potentiol as anyone in the country IMO.  His motor and athleticism is what sets him apart.  Mones going to be sort of a project but his size,  strength and natural balance are just things you cant coach.  Very happy with this class :)

I predict that MGoBlog will have to revisit the Heinenger Certainty Principle as a result of Pallante's football career at Michigan.  According to the theory of Shrodinger’s 3Tech, Brady Pallante will and will not be the sleeper recruit for the class of 2014.  The recruit whose only other committable offer was from Appalachian State will be an enigma from day one.  How is it that such an unheralded recruit consistently makes the D-line playing rotation by his junior and senior years, yet bloggers everywhere are clamoring for higher rated underclassmen to push him out of the rotation?  How is it that he hardly ever makes a tackle or sack during the game, yet the starting linebackers are frequently buying him beer after game day?  How can such inapposite assessment of player performance exist for the same player at the same time?

This is where the theory of Shrodinger’s 3Tech explains the paradox.  Pallante lacks the size and athleticism to make many plays and will hardly show up in the stat lines.  Yet, he will always have great technique and leverage, will rarely get blown up, and will often command double teams, thus leaving the linebackers clean to make plays.  Pallante will not seem to have an impact on the game when he is in there, but the overall D-line play will degrade when he leaves.  So you will never really know how he is performing on a given Saturday unless he is not in the game.  Even then, you won’t even know how he did or did not perform until you observe the game from the perspective of hindsight by looking at the performance other players when he is not in there.  Does he deserve to be in the two-deep or not?  You won’t know unless he doesn’t play.

My prediction is that Brady Pallante will have such a great football career in the winged helmet that you will never hear about him again, and Noah Furbush will emerge as the sleeper recruit for the class of 2014.

I think He has the built and speed to be a succesful corner and nobody sees him becoming a star in the Big Ten but I think he can be a stud if he develops well.

From film I have seen I would say the leading guys to be sleepers are...

Lawrence Marshalll- Alot of people predict he may redshirt but I could see him being what Ojemudia was his freshman year but better. Lo has really beefed up and is even more athletic than Mario was two years ago.  Kid has a high motor and immense raw talent.

Mone-  Big body, stuffs the gaps, good motor for a guy over 300 lbs, could he play the role Ngata played in Baltimore under Mattison?

Ways-  After talking with Moe several times over the summer until now, he has gone from a boy to a man.  Great size at 6'4, makes all the catches, I think in the long run he could be better than Harris.  Moe is a very mature kid too, knows the game, I worry about Drake's attitude at times.

Canteen- Only because he is really fast, great set of hands and enters at a position where there is a void.  Also helps that hes on campus early.

winovich.  i think he was 3 star.  i never watch tape on most of these kids but i did see winovichs highlight tape and hes got some impressive natural ability to build on.  um building some decent depth at LB but after watching this kids highlight tape i see him stepping into sam spot pretty effectively after ryan leaves.  of all lesser ranked um recruits i see this dude having that all league type ability

The one we didn't see coming.  I know we are not supposed to have an addition to the class.  I still have hope though.  In a postition of need, thank you very much.  Yes please...
