MSU basically plays like Michigan now - lots (and lots) of outside shots, and Dawson doing his normal inablity to shoot anywhere outside of 4 feet. They dont dribble drive as well as UM however. Forbes is a good shooter they got via transfer - his defense sucks though.

No one ever mentions how amazing it is that we won the B1G outright and made it to the elite 8 without Mcgary. Beilein is class all the way, I wish my Grandpa was still around, he would have appreciated his values so much.

Who's even injured for them nowadays. I think Dawson had the flu. Do they have any of their other players that are injured?

Apparently one of their freshmen is out til Christmas directly leading to their losses to Duke and Kansas!
Notre Dame's 6th man is out and you dont even hear it mentioned on the telecast.

MSU was picked second in the B1G. So shouldn't they be playing a tougher team than Notre Dame?
I think Iowa/ND and MSU/North Carolina would have made more sense.

It would except that MSU and UNC played in the Challenge last season.

What a change in momentum as I type this, come on ND!

The Big 10 is going to be SO deep this year after Wiscy
Michigan, OSU, MSU, Iowa, Illinois, Maryland, Nebraska are all contenders for that 2nd place spot.

I find Doris Burke much more tolerable during basketball broadcasts than football. Basketball seems to be her strength.

Doris Sable (her maiden name) is #2 on the all-time assists list at Providence, #10 all-time in scoring.
Her football accomplishments don't compare.

I love how MSU fans derided Michigan's offense for years and now theirs is just as reliant on the deep ball.

ND appears to be its usual overrated self.
December 3rd, 2014 at 8:48 PM ^
They're not ranked so I don't know that I'd deem them "overrated." This isn't football, with a top-20 preseason team losing five games.
December 3rd, 2014 at 8:49 PM ^
Yeah, but Mike Brey's teams often do get a lot of hype, only to fold down the stretch and end up in the NIT or with a opening weekend NCAA loss.

Izzo complaiing about why they're calling fouls on him when they hack ND players.

I laughed when they showed Izzo screaming at the ref from behind, and the ref just says, "Please. Stop." Pretty funny seeing the look on the ref's face.

This is some bad basketball being played right now. Both teams just jacking stuff up.

As I was looking up that info on Wikipedia (I thought I saw somewhere it was 82-61 ACC), I learned that every other year they switch the name of the challenge. One year its the ACC - Big Ten Challenge and the next year its the Big Ten - ACC Challenge. Kind of interesting.
December 3rd, 2014 at 8:59 PM ^
I think I actually prefer the "ACC - Big Ten" challenge. It seems to roll off the tongue better.

MSU appears to be slapping the floor on every ND possession. Good news for their opponents this year.

6-2 big ten before today. ND up by 3 suddenly
December 3rd, 2014 at 8:56 PM ^
Dawson is literally one of the worst college shooters I've ever seen.
December 3rd, 2014 at 8:57 PM ^
Why has ND never given a damn about bball? I know football is #1 but they have been mediocre for years on end in basketball.
December 3rd, 2014 at 9:06 PM ^
They're paying Brey a ton of money. Their problem is that - like a lot of Dukie coaches - he's just a notch above the Amaker level, winning enough to keep his job but never bulding them into a real contender.
