Looked like Swanigan tried to trip him Grayson-Allen style, knee to knee, and I'm not sure if that was his stitches side. Also set a [moving] screen at the end of the 2nd half to slam Walton. Hope he's okay...
in beilein's postgame interview he said the back wasn't a big thing, and that mo would have played if dj wasn't defending so well. no mention of walton. wished someone would have asked.
Not worried about Walton - just worry about 6 10 guys with back issues

Just turned it on, saw Minnesota get mugged trying to shoot with no call, turned it off. Not getting mad at the same refs for the second time today on behalf of a different school
MSU basketball, folks. It's never been a thing of beauty.
These teams are so bad offensively. Like our bad possessions are noteworthy and make us think we're tied. With them it's just expected.
What are the scenarios for MSU being left out of the tournery? Or are they a lock?
Win here and they're definitely in. The bubble seems so soft they're probably in regardless.
They're a lock. Had they lost to PSU they would've been sweating it out but they're safely in at this point. Their seed on the Matrix is a 10.

ugly slugfest games, but they always seemed to have the better conditioned athletes that would eventually grind you down with size and athleticism by the second half with great defense and crashing the boards.
This year's MSU team looks strangely out of shape. A bunch of their bigs look a bit heavy, slow and even sloppy....not the chiseled athletes we usually see from Izzo teams. Not sure if this is a 1 year thing or a program thing.
"Rooting," of course, being used VERY loosely here.
I want to see Michigan beat them tomorrow.

We're sitting here dispatching folks and watching the Minnesota-MSU game off and on - I kind of want Minnesota tomorrow actually, even though MSU with injuries seems like it might not be a bad matchup for us either.
The one thing I will say about the occasional downtime is that at least there is hoops on to get us through it, then there's the chaos of these situations to get us through the rest.

The way MSU is playing maybe they are the matchup we want... They just seem off outside of Bridges.
