but the improvment is not as exponetial as many would have us believe.
a lot of the win total is indicative of a weaker schedule. but with that being said, the team can still come out and win the next two games and blow this all out of the water.

The stats from last year represent a FULL season. There are still two games to go--one against the best team we'll face this year, and tomorrow's game against arguably the third best team when considering this is a road game.
The stats could still turn south for this season.
I wouldn't get wrapped up in the stats, though. I have sat back and thought that maybe there is more of an esoteric way to look at this thing.
For instance: when on offense, do you get the feeling that they could score every time? I kind of do. Lat year, I didn't.
Defensively: Do you get the idea that Michigan actually thinks it's OK to tackle people? I kind of don't. Last year, I did.
So it's more of a "perception" thing--because the stats can be manipulated and I don't think they tell the whole story. Informative, yes. But really, was there any kind of hope at all heading into this season IMMEDIATELY after last season ended?
This year, I think there is reason to be hopeful even if it ends next saturday.

except for the tackling. There was no tackling last year. And the angles taken were even worse than they are now. It was obvious they didn't know pursuit and they all just wanted to arm tackle. This year I think the tackling has been better.
Not good.
Just better.
