Big Ten Media Day Open Thread

Submitted by jericho on

So the coaches are about to speak.  Your thoughts as they go along?

Edit: For those of you stuck at work on this fine day.  The BTN is streaming it live on their main page.

I can't hear this man speak enough.  Sounds like cautious optimism for the media.  We need a solid RB.  We won't try to put a square peg (DR) in a round hole.  He won't take the bait on some of these questions and I love that he continue to use "Ohio".  I have heard him 3 or 4 times now and Coach Hoke is consistently an excellent interview.

that they must have there. Those coaches aren't little boys, they have some big ol' guys over there. Hoke, Beilema, Kill, and probably some more I can't think of. I'm drooling all over my keyboard here.

Bielema was talking about people knowingly violating NCAA rules saying it is unacceptable and people should be fired and it is a program issue.  He is looking at you Ohio.

Work computer wouldnt allow for me to watch it online so I took the higher road and pulled it up on the phone.  I dont know why but I am still somewhat astonished by what we can do with a cell phone now.  In terms of Hope, I think that Ron Burgandy might be his kid.

Wow, I literally LOL'd at Danny Hope.  He just said the divisions allow teams an extra chance to be a champion: "A national champion, a rose bowl champion, a big ten champion, a division champion."

I wonder which one of those Purdue falls into?

Also, no "one last question" for Hope.  Hilarious.

I have to go on watch at noon and will miss Adam Sandler and coach Hoke, thank God for the DVR at home. I wonder if Fickell has his sea legs with the media yet or is he going to look like his head will explode like his intro P.C..

They have one of the easiest schedules... They have 8 home games and besides ASU the none conference is nothing. Also their four away games: Indiana, Minnesota, Purdue, and Penn State....

P.S. Does anyone know why Illinois isn't playing Missouri like they always do??
