Kids come in as freshmen like Trey and they don’t know what to say from a leadership standpoint, so they’re just listening and that’s where the other guys come in and show them the ropes.”

Big Ten Championship Game Open Thread

Nebraska-Wisconsin. 8:00PM EST on FOX. Gus Johnson and Charles Davis are calling the game.

Various sources have the line in favor of Nebraska by 3. If Nebraska wins, Michigan is all but assured the Capital One Citrus Bowl against A&M (likely) or Georgia, while the conversation is a bit more complicated if Wisconsin wins.

I didn't think the post would generate such discussion.  Mgoblog gives me no greater power of positive thought than "Normal."  Thus I thought it appropriate given my emphatic agreement with the statement to give normal props.

"Michigan Defense" is dominating everything, in every aspect of life. That's a rough definition.

I don't know if I can watch this.  It's too embarrassing for the league.  Both of these teams are soooo bad.

It was real difficult just watching that opening hype segment with the Nebraska players puffing out about being champions of the division.  If Denard didnt go down, Michigan would be and is a better team.  Nebraska is cocky, as usual.  Im rooting for Wisconsin.

When we make the B1G title game, do you think it would be a de facto home game since apparently no other fans want to go to this game? (unless we play ohio).

Amazing how easy it is to spot empty seats in a blue stadium containing red and white. How embarrassing that almost whole sections are empty.

All the more reason to have the championship game as a home game to the better team.

I want Nebraska to win. Would rather go to the Capital One Bowl than the Outback Bowl However seeing them in this game is disturbing knowing that we could have potentially been in this game if it weren't due to injury.

but I'm rooting for Wisconsin on the inside. It tears Ohio st fans up inside that the Badgers have won 3 B10 titles in a row. Counting the won they lost in their sanctions.

We hate Michigan State. We don't like Penn State too. We don't care for Minnesota, Wisconsin or Notre Dame but we all hate O-S-U.
