Big Ten Championship Game Open Thread

Nebraska-Wisconsin. 8:00PM EST on FOX. Gus Johnson and Charles Davis are calling the game.

Various sources have the line in favor of Nebraska by 3. If Nebraska wins, Michigan is all but assured the Capital One Citrus Bowl against A&M (likely) or Georgia, while the conversation is a bit more complicated if Wisconsin wins.

This is awesome. For all the lucky breaks Nebraska got this year, I am loving seeing them get humiliated right now. I dont even care if it means Oregon gets to beat WIsconsin 70-0 in the Rose Bowl. This is freakin hilarious

Edit: Oh yeah, Stanford won the Pac 12

How will Wisconsin fair against Stanford? They have an excellent defense but their offense isn't anything special. I could see it being a close game...or wisconsin getting destroyed

Before halftime, I told my wife that there are two halves to the game and Nebraska had a big comeback before. My wife replied that there's not enough halves for Nebraska to come back. Wife - 1 ppToilet - 0

At least I watched the SEC championship game.  This B1G  game is an embarrassment of the first order.

To have an 8-5 team reprsesent the conference is sad.

This is oddly reminiscent of the meltdown they enacted against Michigan last year. I wonder if Martinez will complain if M goes to a better bowl after this...

How the fuck is that unnecessary roughness? That is a TERRIBLE call. Something needs to be done about these roughing the passer, unnecessary roughness, and late hit calls because some of them are just ridiculous.

That block was insane. He got flagged for knocking the shit out of the Wisconsin guy, but I think it was clean.

If that was the right call, then that rule is complete bullshit. That was a hit with the shoulder, in the front...wtf was he supposed to do? Let him make the tackle?? Fucking awful. Disgusting. This isn't football.

"that was a good call. We can argue the fact whether that should be a penalty, but he launched himself into the guy's head who didn't see him. That is a penalty"

What in God's name are you talking about?  He hit him in the damn shoulder, it was the DEFENDER'S fault he didn't have his head turned to look for blockers, that should NOT be a penalty.

You are the reason for participation awards you poofter.
