Big Ten Championship Game Open Thread
Martinez WTF? You, young man, look like shit.
This is awesome. For all the lucky breaks Nebraska got this year, I am loving seeing them get humiliated right now. I dont even care if it means Oregon gets to beat WIsconsin 70-0 in the Rose Bowl. This is freakin hilarious
Edit: Oh yeah, Stanford won the Pac 12
I hope the Badgers score 42 more
"Play hard and with great effort"
How will Wisconsin fair against Stanford? They have an excellent defense but their offense isn't anything special. I could see it being a close game...or wisconsin getting destroyed

how did we lose to Nebraska?
how didn't Wisconsin beat OSU?
Ulner nerve injuries man. And the fact that for some reason we thought Bellomy was ready.
I think Maryland would have put up a better fight.
M'Dog
take Wisconsin? Thought I heard they can opt out because Wisky is unranked.
Annnnnd they fall right back asleep into the same nightmare.
Go Blue!
BlueGoM you know why we lost to Nebraska. We didn't have a backup quarterback at the time.
Karma combined with older karma. Remember the 90's when Nebraska would run up the score on every team they played?
I hope Wisconsin just keeps on scoring.
Go Blue! Always!

I don't have a problem with Wiscy putting 100 on Nebraska

Before halftime, I told my wife that there are two halves to the game and Nebraska had a big comeback before. My wife replied that there's not enough halves for Nebraska to come back.

At least I watched the SEC championship game. This B1G game is an embarrassment of the first order.
To have an 8-5 team reprsesent the conference is sad.
This is oddly reminiscent of the meltdown they enacted against Michigan last year. I wonder if Martinez will complain if M goes to a better bowl after this...
The only way this game will ever be a sellout is if Michigan is playing Ohio.

Really Gus? Urban not only wins he crushes? Lets take a look at those scores shall we...

and let's ignore what happened at Florida after Tebow, Harvin and co. were gone

Holy hell he got lit up. Bring the TD back but welcome to sportscenter
Probably doesn't matter now but holy shit that was a great block
"Ohio is like a giant turd that Michigan just can't pinch off"
Good block, a little too good
EDIT: replay looked clean, I agree with the announcer, "that's just football"
I can see them letting it go but I dont know why the announcers are so upset like it wasnt at worst a borderline call.
Holy god that is the number one hit of all time. I hope he's ok.

Are we playing 2-hand touch yet? Seems we're going that way.
Good block man's game

How the fuck is that unnecessary roughness? That is a TERRIBLE call. Something needs to be done about these roughing the passer, unnecessary roughness, and late hit calls because some of them are just ridiculous.
"Ohio is like a giant turd that Michigan just can't pinch off"
That block was insane. He got flagged for knocking the shit out of the Wisconsin guy, but I think it was clean.
Yes, a defenseless player who's about to turn your ballcarrier into carrion. Maybe the refs got sick of gifting Nebraska games.

If that was the right call, then that rule is complete bullshit. That was a hit with the shoulder, in the front...wtf was he supposed to do? Let him make the tackle?? Fucking awful. Disgusting. This isn't football.
Really peeved that was called a penalty, one of the best blocks in all of FBS this year. WOW.
Not gonna lie, that was a good call. We can argue the fact whether that should be a penalty, but he launched himself into the guy's head who didn't see him. That is a penalty.
Oh spare me. Go play baseball if you don't want to make contact. His feet were on the ground. Maybe he should just hug him, pat his ass, and ask him to please not tackle.

Great logic! "You should be able to make a left turn here so I don't deserve the ticket". My father in law uses that logic all the time.

What in God's name are you talking about? He hit him in the damn shoulder, it was the DEFENDER'S fault he didn't have his head turned to look for blockers, that should NOT be a penalty.
You are the reason for participation awards you poofter.

I concede.
Your in the minority buddy, yes it is a penalty but I think lost here think they've gotten a lil excessive in the protecting the players penalties. What's he supposed to do? Set a basketball screen? If he hits him in the chest it's prob worse. The whiplash could've broken his neck.
I agree. But the point I've been trying to make is that it's still illegal. Both players had their head up, so I don't think it should be a penalty. But the rules makers disagree and going high on a player is now a penalty. Thus, that was a good call.
Doesn't matter. He launched himself high on another player. You're going to get a flag for that with the new emphasis on player safety. I don't necessarily agree with it, but arguing it shouldn't get a flag because the rule is stupid is equally stupid logic. As the rules are currently enforced, it was a good call.

This is getting ugly. Just take a knee Nebraska.
