rundown of Michigan's riser
needs moar usage
so much for that
This list is completely arbitrary and not a genuine analysis of the relative merits of state fossils.
will be michigan's highest pick in a while
money has to go somewhere
I am only motivated by people who have no opinion about me.
the just released schedules were a flat-out statement that the B10 doesn't believe SOS will matter in playoff selection
but I thought that draft was supposed to be incredibly loaded?
If you're gonna go please be in the first round.
another delightful side effect of a 14 team conference
thoughtful piece from Jacobi on middle finger lady
Wait a minute, Michigan can fall all the way to the Gator Bowl?
When the ADept sells special jerseys and gear, you'll see my picture next to the targeted customer crowd. A sheep.....but a Blue one.....
I don't think it's likely. We haven't been to the Outback Bowl in a decade, so they're not going to pass us up.
that would require the people who run the Outback Bowl turning down free money and taking NU
so book your tickets to Tampa happily
When your team is winning, be ready to be tough, because winning can make you soft. On the other hand, when your team is losing, stick by them. Keep believing. -- Bo Schembechler
I be like dang!
There are no corners in space.
I be like what an embarrassment to the B1G. Welcome to the Big Ten, Nebraska, now please stop soiling yourself in the championship game, m'kay?
8-9 in the box, you know Wiscy is going to run it and still no defense.
...confidence is the stain they can't wipe off...
This is deplorable sportsmanship.
"The Ruhr will not be subjected to a single bomb. If an enemy bomber reaches the Ruhr, my name is not Hermann Göring: you can call me Urban Meyer!"
Nebraska used to do it all the time.
I mean they are just running the ball....
What are they supposed to do? Pass the ball?
Not really. They are running the ball every play. It is up to Nebraska to stop them. Running up the score would be calling 4 Verts every time.
That is proof enough of poor sportsmanship.
Its the championship game.
Its on Nebraska for losing like this.
There is no reason why Wisconsin's starters should be in the game,
No reason why they shouldn't.
Wiscy should just punt on 1st down?
Minnesota head coach Henry L Williams, back in the day, published a guide to football strategy based on your field position that included this sage advice:
"Inside the 10-yard line: take no chances, punt immediately".
Ron Zook would approve
"The straightest line from A to B is straight: From A to B"
"When you have Denard Robinson, you can have everything"
I believe Bielema put up 80 on Indiana a couple years ago. He'll run up the score on you if he can.
edit: 83-20 back in '10
Was it deplorable sportsmanship when Michigan did this?
One game is highlighted because the point differential is worse than Wisconsin - Nebraska. You may not like Wisconsin, but they are winning with Michigan style Manball.
"It does not matter how many times you get knocked down, but how many times you get up." Vince Lombardi
Most of those teams would be the modern day equivalent of Eastern Michigan back in the days of te Big Two. And Illinois WAS running up the score because they fired Moeller and hired a cheater.
"I love him, he's a great coach, he's a great mentor, he's a great friend. He's every single thing you want a college coach to be, and he does it flawlessly." -David Molk
I'm going to hear that Wisconsin post-TD fight song in my head all night.
They should just start looping the Badgers fight song every 3 min.
Wisconsin has 8 rushing touchdowns. EIGHT.
"No, I'm the biggest douche in college football, fergodsakes!"
Simon Bolivar once said "The art of victory is learned in defeat." If that's true, then by God the future should be bright!
Gasp. Hold breath. Turn Blue!
and I specifically logged in so that I could declare that I knew Neb was an effing fraud and they are so lucky to have made it to this game what with all the BS calls that went there way and the bad move by our coaching staff not to have had Devin ready to go against these frauds, ugh!!!!
Here have a sticker
you don't have to be a jerk about it, sheesh
You mean like specifically logging on to post that Nebraska is an effing fraud.
The jerk store called buddy...
Why not? Clearly, they aren't going to win. No need for further embarassment.
nice to see nebraska not coming into the big ten and after a couple of seasons they win a big ten title.. not that i really care at all though.
Who wants cake?
“Well, I was this close to bringing a sinner to Jesus, and now he is consigned to eternal damnation. I hope that you’re happy.” - Boyd Crowder, Justified
Capital one bowl, don't be an asshole. Northwestern without question.
After the game, every nebraska commit decommits and goes to Maryland.
Where does UW find all these backs with breakaway speed? It seems like we've rarely had a back with an extra gear lately.
He wears #16. But we only let him run the ball from the QB position, when he can't grip the ball, and has no threat of throwing the ball.
Previous Big Ten matchups that got this ugly (or even close)
2008: Wisconsin over Indiana 83-20
2000: Penn State over MSU 61-7
1975: Michigan over Northwestern 69-0
1994: Penn State over Ohio State 63-14
1981: Michigan over Illinois 70-21
1986: Michigan over Illinois 69-13
1988: Michigan over Wisconsin 62-14
1981: Ohio State over Northwestern 70-6
Go Blue! Always!
Seein a lot of meeechigan in there
the 83-20 game was in 2010.
Also Michigan 49 - 3 vs MSU in '02, comes to mind :)
He said "games that got this ugly." That 2002 MSU game, you see, was a thing of pure beauty.
have won the 1st 2 B1G CG's, that makes me ill, what a lucky team of circumstances.
when we went to 3 Rose Bowls in a row in 76'-78' seasons, we were 10-1 and ranked #1 for most of those 3 years, SMH
Yep. And their 93, 98 and 99 Rose Bowl teams each missed playing one of the top teams in the conference. And this year, they get the title simply because 2 teams who finished higher than them in their division were not eligible.
Every year, Wisconsin fans sacrifice their school's lone virgin on the altar of Bret Bielema's double chin.
Don't worry, Michigan and/or Ohio State will make sure that doesn't happen next year...
Hello Charles Woodson, now give me the ball on offense. - Brent Musburger
Well done Nebraska. Unless I'm mistaken, this is the most points ever given up by a ranked conference team. Congratulations!
Yep. I believe they got the record when they hit 70.
In the 1995 national championship game, Florida gave up 62 to Nebraska. That's got to be #2. (I'm hoping Notre Dame loses by a similar score)
Oh I was talking just within the Big Ten. If you're looking nationally, Baylor gave up 70 to West Virgina just this year.
next year we'll probably beat ohio at home and then have to beat them again the next fucking week.
Move that game to the 1st week of Nov please, jump on board people, it's not fair to either program to have to beat the other twice in a row like could happen often here in the very near future.
Instead of ditching 80 years of tradition of playing it at the end of the season, why not just put the two schools in the same division?
