Random response #1: The angle of the camera could be throwing every off, I took a photography class for a week before add/drop ended

Random response #2: Plus Big Sean has got on Timberland boots, I have that same pair and they definitely make you taller

Random response #3: No way Spike is taller, he's in my business management class and he's definitely no taller than 5'9.

Random response #4: But what if Spike is bare foot?

Random response #5: But what if he's on his tip toes?

Random response #6: Just got home from work, time for some Bell's Two Hearted!

Random response #7: (post deleted due to sexybits violation)

Random response #8: Isn't this an NCAA violation?

Kanye has made one of the most critcally acclaimed albums of this century in My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy.  You not liking him doesn't make him a shitty artist.

Not to mention The College Dropout, Late Registration, Graduation, 808s and Heartbreak, Yeezus, Watch The Throne, and Cruel Summer.  The guy has been putting out amazing music his whole career.  Personality aside, he is one of the best rappers of this generation. That is undeniable whether you personally like him or not.

He does ALL of those things...

Wow that was an idiotic statement.

Kanye wrote and produced the majority of one of the best albums ever in College Dropout and used no autotune.

lol, the man literally made the 95% of the album by himself. Lyrics, beats, production and the only hint of autotune isn't even him...it's a sped up sample on The New Workout Plan.

There are TONS of artists who can play music better than Kanye West can. No question.

That doesn't mean he doesn't have talent. It also doesn't mean he can create his own music...because he's already done that.

He produced every single song on his first three albums except TWO. That's like 2 songs out of 50.

I'm not really sure why you're randomly comparing Springsteen to Kanye West (other than to invoke GET OFF MY LAWN rhetoric), but when your chief complaint about a celebrity musician/producer/whatever is that he uses auto tune, it's probably not in your best interest to compare that person to a vocalist who is frequently flat and sounds like he's passing a kidney stone. Also, why is auto tune even being brought up? Kanye only used it on like, one album as an aesthetic choice.

I'm sure half of these geezers complaining about producers not playing "real" instruments had no problem with Pink Floyd and The Who extensively using computer-sequenced synthesizers (both in the studio and live) in the mid-to-late seventies.

Comparing a traditional musician to a producer is like comparing gymnastics to painting:  it doesn't really work.  I find it hard to believe that anyone actually listens to any piece of music and first-and-foremost takes into account the perceived level of skill/talent/difficulty required in judging that piece of music instead of just listening to it and deciding if he/she likes how it sounds or not.  It's silly.  It's also silly to disparage one form of expression in comparison to the other, given that cheap digital sampling has been readily available and used in pop music for well over thirty years now.  It's not going away, guys, and odds are, some of your favorite musicians who play "real" instruments have utilized it extensively on some of your favorite tracks.  Get over it.

It's incredible how out of touch people are with this.  Just spewing nonsense because they saw the media say he was a jerk.

Producing is basically the rap equivalent of playing your own instruments and he only used autotune mainly on 808s and heartbreak.  Which was more of an artistic choice than a necessary one.  It's like wearing a wig because you want crazy blue hair instead of your standard blonde hair, rather than wearing a wig because you're bald.

...and I have excellent taste in music...so if I don't like him...he most definitely sucks. He is actually 10 times the music producer than he is a rapper. He is undeniably the most overrated rapper of his generation...but master of auto-tune. When you get a break from watching Keeping Up With the Kardashians...I can send you some great music recommendations.
