Why would Brandon or Hoke let Ferns (just a verbal commit) make a big announcement about UM football?
Just expect Ferns to say something like he and Wilton are creating an annual recruiting comp between O and D with the 1st commits as "captains". Fits with Shane and Dymonte pursuing kids last year.

I was just saying that the concept you were suggesting isn't newsworthy in my opinion and from what we've heard it's pretty cool (not amazing by most accounts but at least worth a small announcement). Your post was fine - you clearly labeled what it was about, so if anyone was uninterested, they didn't have to click. Those that did, and then posted, essentially are saying nothing more than: This is a stupid topic and wasted my valuable time. My time is so valuable that I come on a sports blog in the morning, click on threads that absolutely do not interest me, and then take more of my valuable time to comment on how I don't like the thread, or perhaps even try to post a comical reference that is so clever that only 4 other posters made the same joke.
Personally, I would take this topic over some of the random OT threads.

If I really was being defensive, my response would have been a lot longer and more involved, but I'm just making a statement here. It really isn't a big deal.
