Big Football Weekend for the State of Michigan
This is one of the weekends it's great to be a football fan. An absolutely HUGE Michigan/Notre Dame game followed by a VERY winnable game for the Lions against Chicago. I can't wait. Is there really a purpose for this post? Probably not - other than letting everyone know my sheer joy of football and the amount of quality games this weekend in both college and the pros. I just needed an avenue to express myself.
Since I work in Indiana, I have my Michigan flag hanging outside my cubicle to counter all those band wagon ND fans at work. We've been trash talking all week and I love it. Couple it with the fact that they are mostly Bears fans and it's been great (I work in NW Indiana in a town called East Chicago, so they are all Bears fans instead of Colts fans).
God, I love football.
Good luck to everyone's fantasy football teams this week!
GO BLUE!

Is this a big High School game that I should be aware of?

No. But the attendance figures will probably make it appear that way.

Don't insult high school football like that. I think you meant "a big middle school game." Saline/Pioneer is going to be FAR better than some silly MSU/FAU game.

MSU - FAUX?

I grew up in Crown Point. I live in Boston now though. Yeah I feel your pain with all those "ND" fans.

This is the first time in a long time I actually expect them to win a game.

Woah there. Over the past few years, I've learned to NEVER expect a victory.
And if Delmas isn't 100% I can't imagine a road win against even a middling team. Hope they prove me wrong though.

Over the course of a season? Or a specific week?

I'm happy for football to be back, but let's be realistic. The Lions are still the Lions. They don't have any big games. Michigan State plays a D-14 team to an audience of 244 people at Ford Field. Wait...Not including the band?
There is one big game this weekend. I can't wait.

I have the Lions as my sleeper in the NFC. I think they're going to be much better then they have been in years past and Matthew Stafford is the real deal. You can always bank on Cutler throwing a pick or 5 so I like our chances!
