When I googled it to check on prices for you I found out about a movie called "The Big Chill" that just so happens to be about college friends from the University of Michigan...go figure

I'm 30 as well and I finally rented that movie last Summer just to see the blue references. I loved the part where they're all watching a UM football game on TV (a clip from the 1980 UM/MSU game is being shown on the TV screen - a long screen pass from John Wangler to Larry Ricks). But then Jeff Goldblum's character blasts our famed winged helmets - calling them the ugliest helmets in football. Blasphemy! How that line even made it into the script is beyond me. Especially since the character is a UM alum and the movie itself was written by a UM alum.

UM alum who wrote and directed The Big Chill also wrote the screenplay for The Empire Strikes Back and Raiders of the Lost Ark along with some others (a few of which I probably wouldn't claim).

I'd lean toward the latter. There's a lot of us out there. If civilization suddenly ended and U-M Alumni decided to form a new nation, we'd be able to field a potent army. And promptly invade SEC country.

Tix are onsale soon (mid-april). they are 15 bucks. the general feeling is that they aren't going to be that hard to come by. the AD seems to have priced them low enough to try to sell out the place. Check with your local alumni club as I know some of them are buying in bulk (at least I know NYC is doing this)

Season hockey ticket holders can buy unlimited tickets. After that football ticket holders and alumni associations go. Then the public tickets go on sale. Assuming there are 4,000 season hockey tickets holders. If every ticket holder buys 10 that is 40,000 midfield seats. If you take out the student section and MSU's allotment, there is probably only room for around 50% of season football ticket holders (assuming there are 80,000 nonstudent season football ticket holders) to grab tix.

Getting married in a month and a half. You poor bastard. Let me be the first to say congratulations. One vagina for for the rest of your life. Real smart. Way to think it through.

"But then Jeff Goldblum's character blasts our famed winged helmets - calling them the ugliest helmets in football. " There is a reason no one wants to sleep with him. If you like that movie, check out "Return of the Secaucus Seven." And then when you discover what a great writer and director John Sayles is, go get "Brother From Another Planet."
