Big 10 Championship Game Open Thread

Submitted by alum96 on

No meteors seem in the forecast in the greater Indiana area per NASA, so we'll be forced to watch our top 2 competitors in the East face off.  Short of a 25+ pt blowout MSU is destined for the Rose, OSU is playing for the right to give up 60 pts to Florida State.

Have at it....

I do hate how it's Auburn who gets to waltz to the championship game with one loss, but no mention of the Big Ten champions. The Big Ten really needs to get its shit together. MSU would have just as good of a case (not that I would want it) if not for national perception.

Carlos Hyde finished the game with 18 carries for 118 yards.  In the second half he had 81 yards on 10 carries.  Meyer's got some 'splaining to do as to why he didn't see the ball on those crucial 3rd and 4th downs at the MSU 40.

Did anyone else see Urban's post game press conference? That had to be the most awkward thing I've ever seen. Reading prepared remarks and barely looking up the entire time? For real?

BCS bowls get to pick in this order:

Orange (replacement for FSU) - probably Clemson to keep ACC ties

Sugar (replacement for Auburn) - probably Alabama to keep SEC ties

Orange (first in at-large pecking order) - more than likely OSU

Sugar

Fiesta

It's highly doubtful that the Orange passes on Ohio St.

It was interesting to watch this game and see head coaches on the sidelines wearing headsets, holding play cards and making decisions.... Maybe I 'm missing something.
