Bielfeldt to Indiana

Submitted by Wolverine Devotee on

Michigan plays Indiana once in 2015-16.

At Crisler Center.

Excited to announce I'll be spending my fifth year of eligibility at Indiana University! #B1G

Interesting choice. I am surprised he did not choose a smaller school where he will get more playing time. Granted, I do not know much about Indiana's roster, but I feel he won't play a lot there. Good luck anyway. I hope he does well, except when we play Indiana.

It seems like Indiana is always losing tons of players, yet they always have a full roster. They don't have any real decent bigs. Any guy who shows promise seems to transfer by the end of the year. I don't think Max is going to like playing for Crean to be completely honest. I do think he'll like IU though, and hopefully he makes the most of it. Bloomington is certainly a step down from Ann Arbor, but it's a solid college town where he can get a good grad degree.

I already know of a minimum of two players from last years roster leaving. Even with Max, I believe they have room for one more guy. They were really hoping for Thon Maker.

Also not that it matters but after this upcoming season IU is going to be hurting. Yogi will be gone, Williams will enter the NBA, and Blackmon will enter the NBA. That will leave 7 total players on their roster as of right now. If you assume they fill that other scholarship and that player stays for more than one year, they will need to fill a minimum of 5 scholarships.

It's good that Max went to a good school, but damn I'm sorry he has to play for Crean. I will cheer loudly for him when the Hoosiers come to Crisler, even if Moose puts up 20 on us.

Rather an interesting choice, but alas his call. It will be odd to see him in a non-Michigan uniform in the Big Ten, but all the same, I wish him well at Indiana. With any luck, the calves will distract Crean for a sufficient amount of time that some nets may be saved from an otherwise unfortunate fate.

How the fuck did he decide to play for that douche, Iowa State would have been the place to go. Seriously, Crean, king douche? I'll never forget Crean's attack on Jeff Meyer. Perfectly fine by me if someone decks him. Sorry for the anger, but Crean.

Dislike Crean and all the time he spends on the damn court, but hope Max gets a good year of grad school under his belt.

Wish he would have chosen somewhere else, but I can understand the decision.

Still, playing for Crean does not seem like a good time.

They have room for him because they had already cut their roster to the max number of scholarship players before they kicked Mosquera Perea and Devin Davis off the team. Seeing as those two guys were the entirety of their big man bench depth after an assumed starting job for incoming Freshman Thomas Bryant, Max will have a big role to play there. 15 minutes a game in B1G play is certainly not out of the question. And Indiana has the talent to be a Sweet 16 team this year if the Crean implosion doesn't happen.

be pretty good but I don't think "big time."  Second weekend of the tourney is pretty reasonable, given the scorers they have returning.  Last year they couldn't defend a lick it seemed to me. Maybe they'll be better on D, but I can't imagine a great leap forward.

Given their need for bigs, Max should see some pretty good minutes.  They're going to be one of the smaller teams in the B10.
