Bethlehem Shoals Guest Lecture at Mich / Cultures of Basketball
Hey so as a few of you may know, this semester a new class is being taught. It is Cultures of Basketball. It may sound like a joke but it is a combination of a history class with classroom discussions. The textbook that we are using is a book about NBA History written by the bloggers over at http://freedarko.blogspot.com.
Our class has gotten a lot of publicity over the web including here

Anyway we are bringing Nathaniel Friedman (a/k/a Bethlehem Shoals of FreeDarko.com, GQ online, Business Insider, AOL Fanhouse etc.) to give a lecture next Tuesday 3/15. It will be at 4 pm in 1400 CHEM and will be about "Of Kings, Dippers, and Answers: How Race and Representation Build the NBA Anti-Hero". Our teacher wants us to get the word out so we get a decent sized audience.
If you want to find out some more about the class check out http://yagoc.blogspot.com/ as our teacher blogs about each lecture.
I hate when people link to RCMB because I can't help but read it and it always makes me very angry when I do.
Get UMs tech department in on this and stream it on ustream or the like. I'd definitely tune in as would his readership etc
