Best Tight End Today?

Everyone from coast to coast is talking about how great Rudolph the ND tight end is. So how do you think Koger stacks up against him. I have been incredibly impressed with Koger last year and definitely in week one. IMO he is just as good if not better than his ND counterpart. The advantage that Rudolph has in Floyd and Tate around him. If you put Koger in the middle of those two I would say his numbers would be better. Plus IMO Koger is a much stronger blocker!

is definately a stronger blocker, but I would say they are pretty even otherwise. Rudolph is pretty athletic. I would take Koger anyday of the week though!

Rudolph is listed at 6'6" v. Koger at 6'4" and I think that was a big part of the difference in their rankings coming out of HS. Both have great hands and I think their speed is comparable. Not sure who wins in vertical leap or blocking. I totally agree that Koger was not in a good situation last year to showcase his abilities, but if the WMU game is any indication that is changing fast. If I was an NFL scout and had to pick one now, I would probably go with Rudolph based on his height because they both look good and there is not much else to go on. It will be interesting to see how they each progress over the next couple of years.

Koger is hands down the better TE. First off he wouldnt be caught dead wearing some pansy ass shiny gold helmet on a football field. Koger wont be weakened from never getting to eat because his coach at all the food at the cafeteria 45 minutes ago. Koger doesnt have to rely on a giant statue of Jesus to play better. Koger doesnt live in the 1970s, aka Indiana. Will Rudolf have more catches and more yards today? Sure, you'll have that with passing all the time playing catch up this afternoon. It still doesnt mean he is better...

Just read a comment on the biggest ND blog out there about how Rudolph is a down right terrible blocker! It was in the continued conversation with Brian. That makes me wonder if BG gets outside on him and they don't have RB help it could be a long day for the blond wonder boy under center.
