Best seats in the Big House?
I'm about to buy my tickets for the Iowa game, but I wanted some advice. I'm looking at either section 21 or 22. Is it better to sit low (like row 10 - 17), medium (like row 20 - 35) or higher (rows 35 - 50)? Last year, I was in row 18 or so and it was awesome, but I have no idea if another place would be even more awesome. Thanks for the input.

For example, I love my seats in row 60. Easy in/out, great view of everything just over the new disabled seating.

Medium is my 1st choice as you still feel semi-close to the action but have a much nicer viewing angle than the front rows.

I had season tickets section 34 row 64 for 10 years and i must say it was a perfect spot for me

I've been in section 34, row 72 for 20 years. I'm up in the end zone about four strides from the exit. Great location. I'll never, ever move.
For the OP, you'll hear someone make a case for every seat in the house being a great seat. Pick what feels right for you and have a great time at the Iowa game.

In my mind, the best seats are in rows 25-30, you can see everything. I sat in row 4 for the 2007 PSU game, it was a fun experience but in terms of watching the game it's tough.
So, I'd recommend "medium".

20-30 are my favorites. especially right behind the band with the rest of the student section

If not that, go high. The low seats are really only good if you want to get on TV. Your sightlines there are the worst.

I'm sitting in row B for the UConn game. It's not the best for seeing the game but last year we got Minor to pose for a few pictures for us.

Medium in my opinion are the best. My seats were row 35 and they were by far the best seats I've ever had. But really there are no bad seats in Michigan Stadium.

Every section has plus and minus aspects...I have sat in lots of areas over the years and had different experiences. I would ask if you are wanting more of a crowd that is into the game (versus the brie and chardonnay crowd) then either endzone or proximal to the students is the way to go...if, on the other hand, you are looking for a quiet and staid affair then you can look into Section 1, 2, 44, 22, 23, 24...the club seats (I figure) or with johnvand in the luxury boxes.
I have had a few offers of club seats now for various games so I don't think you'd find it too hard to get them generally although for Iowa this might be a bit more costly if that's the direction you decided to go...

My favorite tix were always high. I have sat as low as row 6 and as high as 72. I also sat in row 27 and 36. I have always missed the section 33 row 72 seats. You can see the entire field, you can get in and out easily, and no one complains when you stand up. I now have club seats. I will be sitting in them for the first time at the scrimmage this weekend and I'll let you know what I really think of them.

I once had seats on the 45 yard line, pressbox side, about sixty rows up. It was for the home opener in 1998. They were the worst seats ever. I could see EVERYTHING.
It totally ruined an otherwise beautiful summer day.

I have really enjoyed sitting around the student section for the last few games. It makes the game loud and exciting! Last year I sat in Section 33 Row B for a couple of games and it was hard to see the other side of the field but having everything behind me was awesome! Growing up I saw games up high in the stadium and the views of the field are great but alot more calm. On September 4th I am again in Section 33 next to the students but in row 30. I think this is going to be a good balance for me. Can't wait to see how many people we can pack in the Big House on the 4th to witness the beginning of the next great chapter of Michigan football. Our tickets are always the other side of the end zone from the student section....half way up. I like all the corner endzone seats for some reason. We are row 57? for the UCONN game.

As someone else stated, you could make a case for about every seat in the stadium.
I'm section 16 mid way up. What's so great about that?
1. No PSD.
2. Small section. I get to the stadium literally 5 minutes before kickoff and the line going in is non existent while the line in 15, for example, is ridiculous.
3. It is close to the restroom under the south endzone, which moves quickly and, again, small section means easy in, easy out for breaks.

...i recieved my student tickets and got row sec. 25 row 7. i'm exicted to have such close seats but has anyone sat in the student section this low and felt you couldn't see anything?

my seats senior year were in row 7. At least I could see (5'11'') The hardest part was knowing where first downs were/getting used to the angle. It took a few weeks, but the scoreboards are right there to let you know where exactly a player was down

I'll be with my ten year old son. We were at the Ohio State game in 2007 in the student section and it was brutal on him, standing the whole game on the bench just to be able to see a little. So we need to be able to sit, but I certainly don't want anyone telling me to sit down when things get exciting. So middle row, section 21 or 22 it is.

I sit down low (first 10 rows) near the 50 yard line. It's cramped, you stand all game long and the sight lines are bad unless the play is right in front of you. It also takes forever to get up and down the aisle. However, you are so close you can see the players' faces and almost feel the hits. I wouldn't trade my tickets for any other location.

hey guys its my first time at a michigan game and I'm in section 22 around row 50. do you think those are good seats? I've heard from some friends that are season ticket holders that there isn't a bad seat in the stadium, but I'm just wondering what you guys think.

My 2 cents if I could sit anywhere it would probably be section 24. Close enough to get the rowdiness of the student section but not actually in it and closer to midfield.
