Best places to watch a Michigan Game in Washington, D.C.
Hey Guys,
I guess I'm THAT guy this week. I'm heading to D.C. from Belgium tomorrow to meet up with my folks (who are traveling from Puerto Rico... needless to say I haven't seen them in a while) and was wondering if any of you could recommend a place to watch the game.
Hopefully you know of a spot where we could eat, have a few drinks/beers and most importantly watch the game in a quality screen (other M fans would be a plus). I'd like them to enjoy the experience. I have a feeling its going to be a joy to watch. Thanks for any help.
As always, Go Blue...

This is true and definitely one thing to consider with Buffalo Billiards. If you are in the main viewing room, you will have to get your own drinks from the bar, however, if you get there around 11:30-noon, there won't be many people there (at least that was the case for Illinois weekend, and it filled up with time). You can still order your food, burgers, etc at the bar and they give you a number to put on your table. The waitstaff will then bring you your food and clear your glasses, plates, etc. Just know going in that the main viewing room operates through the bar.

For the Michigan-Clemson NCAA tourney game two years ago they didn't put the game on until almost halftime. Though it was obviously fun watching the satellite feed of warm-ups for some baby-seal vs. North Carolina game.

Yeah, in my experience, they have been excellent with technical issues.

Best place? Sitting atop the Washington Monument with a portable TV while screaming "GO BLUE!!" at the top of your lungs after every good play.

It is a Michigan crowd, they have food specials during the game. I haven't been to any of the other gamewatch locations in DC, but I understand the Tommy Joe's crowd is older than what you are likely to find at Buffalo Bill's or the other places. So, your parents might feel more at ease here. It can fill up, so get there early. If it is crowded, you can often find a table in the back room, but as of a couple years ago (before I got Directtv) the TVs weren't as good in the back.

I live 5 minutes away from Bailey's and have watched a few games there but I have to say the quality of the food and service has gone downhill in the last couple years. I'd rather take the Metro and shlep to Buffalo Billiards where I think overall the atmosphere is just better.
