Best place to watch the game on the Vegas Strip?

Submitted by HELLE on
I'm looking for some help here. I'll be on the Vegas Strip for the Utah Game and I'm looking for the best spot to watch it with sound. I'm concerned NFL Preseason will take priority in most of the sports books and bars. I checked the Southern Nevada Alumni Association's Facebook page, but it didn't have any information. I'm sure The D will have the sound on, though we would prefer to stay on the Strip. Any advice would be great. Thanks. Go Blue!

If you're into craft beer, check out Tag Sports Bar on the ground floor in the Linq (formerly Imperial Palace):

Relaxed environment. 200+ beers... and all comped if you're gambling. It's all video machines, making it easy to play slowly (as I did while waiting to catch a shuttle to the airport). All in all, a great opportunity to try new beers while losing a negligible amount of money.

Enjoy Vegas!

because I'm flying into SLC on Wednesday for the game and on Friday, we're driving to Vegas to spend the weekend. Maybe you should just fly/drive to Vegas for the game? If not, some guys from Michigan own a Casino in Old Vegas called The D. They will likely show the game on all TVs. But any Sports Book on the Strip is going to have it on the big screens.

and, you know...Harbaugh; it's going to be pretty well highlighted. Plus Michigan is a big draw anyway, and lots of Utah locals in Vegas. You're not going to have a problem finding it. Pick a place and it'll likely be there. Caesar's, Wynn, planet Hollywood, bunch of options at city center, mgm, New York...won't be a problem.

The Inn Zone. It's about 15 minutes from the strip. It looks like what a bar owned by Wolverine Devotee would look like. Floor to ceiling Michigan decor. Total dive bar. In a strip mall. A maize and blue immersion experience.

Hands down the best sports book in Vegas is the Mirage, though you might like Caesar's or Hard Rock (if you can get off the strip a bit).  There is a Titled Kilt down the lane from where the LINQ is located that has a good atmosphere if you like sports bars.

For my money though, nothing even comes close to the Mirage.  Will be there UNLV week probably laying the points.

Strippers are a dime a dozen; there is only ONE authentic Michigan game.

I wear my gear proudly at the Mirage.  We comin....

I'll be there at 5pm. If you're not home from work, just leave a key under the rock and make sure the fridge is full of beer. I'll park in the street so you don't have to move your car after I leave. What's your dogs name again? Thanks and Go Blue!!!

It's a five minute cab ride from Mandalay Bay on Rainbow just south of I-215. The game is on with full audio and the staff takes great care of the M fans. I go there for every game. If you really want to stay on-strip Lagasse is the way to go. Twin Peaks would be a good alternative, too. But if you want a M-centric experience go to Putter's.

Call ahead and make sure they're showing it. It's a little off the strip but well worth it. The setup is basically a movie theater with everyone gambling on the game(s) and going nuts. I was there for AFC/NFC Championships and it was awesome.

There's a great sports bar in the Monte Carlo called The Pub. Big screens everywhere with over 300 beers to choose from. This is where I watched the playoffs on New Year's Day. They even have a huge drop down movie screen with couches to sit on, but I'm not sure they'll bring it out for a Thursday night game.

Lagasse's Stadium is probably the best setup, if you can get a seat. Every time I've gone, it's pretty full. I've also watched many a game at MGM sportsbook and the Venetian's book. Good backup plans.

They have large screens, but also have small tv that can be tuned to the stations by each user.   There are connections for headphones or listen through the tv.   Done it lots of times.   There are also quite a few places to pick up food near the Sports Book.   They let you bring the food into the Sports Book.   There is a Saparro's.   I've seen people bring whole pizza in.
