best place to SELL tickets for ND game on Saturday

Submitted by mgomistercheezle on

Long story short, I might be in the opposite position of most people who post ticket questions on the board.   Come Saturday, there is a definite possibility that I'll have two surplus tickets for this Saturday's game vs. ND under the lights...but I won't know for certain until Saturday morning/afternoon.  Thus, stubhub or "legitimate" ticket brokers are not an option for me.  I've sold spare tickets the day of the game before, but it's typically to a scalper because it's a random game vs. a MAC/Indiana/Minnesota type team and I'm more interested in getting to tailgating, brats, and Bell's Two-Hearted rather than trying to make an extra $10-20.  Needless to say, Saturday will be a historic game and will be a very different situation.  I'd be looking to cut out the middleman so I would get the maximum return for my tickets while simultaneously hooking up two M fans.  They'd be primo seats: on the M sideline, section 24 or 25 ( somewhere between the two 40 yard lines, I forget off the top of my head), and a row somewhere in the 40s.  In retrospect, this isn't a very short post at all, but the question remains: where is the best spot (EDIT: PHYSICAL/GEOGRAPHICAL location in or around A2) to find people (read: M fans milling about) in need of tickets for Saturday's game?  Like I said, I'd really prefer to sell these tickets to good people (again, read: M fans) and not to someone who will turn around and sell them again, especially since I'll be sitting next to whoever ultimately occupies those seats.

I have 2 tickets for sale, Section 13, Row 81, 2 seats together.  I'd put them on the spreadsheet but it's probably too late for that.  I'm willing to use stubhub but I'd rather give fellow mgobloggers first dibs.  $200 each.

Huge fan, in town from Houston.  I passed on 2 4-packs through my aunt in the Victor's Club.  I bought a house earlier than expected, so the budget was a little tight then--too much to buy those and airfare for my wife and me.  I just found out last week I was going to Pittsburgh for work, so when I was done with that, I drove over and I'm in Dearborn Heights right now.  I have a ton of family I'm visiting, and I am going to go to the game.

I'd love to buy 2 tickets from someone.  Please email me at:  Josh (dot) Plumaj (at) gmail (dot) com

Also, I've never been, so any tips on pre-game activities would be much appreciated! Bars, food, tailgates, etc, anything.

GO BLUE!!!

I was trying to make a joke, no worries.  I updated the above post too - I'm not exactly looking to sell these over the board, I'm more interested about a spot where there might be lots of people in need of tickets.  Come to think of it, somewhere around the gameday set might be a good spot to start...

I would say post on Craigslist when you find out. there will be a lot of people tailgating with out tix and I am sure someone would just come meet you at your tailgate to get them. worked well for me at the msu game last year.

I'm also selling my tickets for the game this weekend. You can have them for the very low price of $600 each. Keep in mind that the only reason I'm doing this is to help fellow MGoBloggers out, I'm not interested in making a profit.

First come, first serve.

I just graduated from UM and am a student at the Wayne State Med. School. I'm going back to A2 tomorrow (Saturday) to tailgate with some friends and hopefully find a ticket. I understand the historic significane of this game and the fact that it's against a hated rival so I won't complain about the high prices. But I am in the market for a ticket and will be combing the streets of Ann Arbor in a desperate search for reasonably-priced tickets just before the game.

tl;dr version: Find the kid wearing a blue blazer, maize and blue striped tie and seersucker shorts who would love the chance to put some money in a UM fan's pocket and get into the stadium.

Going to get a student ticket to sit with a friend instead. Sec 2, Row 47 (ND Sideline, but around the 35-40 yd lines--can't beat the view). I've put up some CL ads but would be happy to sell to an MGoLurker instead.

Seeking cash and best offer (I've had one for $200 already). I'm coming in from California so I'll be able to meet either late tomorrow night or Saturday anytime morning/afternoon.
