Best line of night re Brady + Henne
Pretty surreal watching two UM QBs starting against each other (I wouldn't exactly say "go at it" -- 3 interceptions v. 153 yds total)... but the best line of the night was uttered by Ron Jaworski, I think, when he said something to the effect of -- "Both Brady and Henne have lots of Michigan records... but neither would be starting for Michigan right now."
Yikes, that's a fabulous thought.

It was because they wouldn't be able to run the zone read better than denard

Denard doesn't get a capital letter?

There's no shame in that. Denard is 1 offseason away from being on Stan Lee's super-human show.

I love Denard and all, but I wouldn't mind having an experienced NFL QB starting for us right now ... especially a former Superbowl MVP. Not sure even Dilithium can top that, at this point.

...we'd have to dump RR and the current offense and employ Lloyd-ball once again. That would another three years to get the right kind of recruits.

Go Jaws - that is a terrifically funny line!

I would have loved to see John Gruden's eyebrows after Jaw's dropping that line and everything else that dropped outta Jaw's mouth.

Jaws likes traditional pro style QBs
<br>I'm glad they made the connection to current day though. Young QBs of the world, want to join this club? Or would you rather be Tresseled and bottled up for 4 years

Jaws mumbled under his breath "yeah but it's a different offense..."
Either way it was awesome to see the great pub on MNF for the program.

That whole segment yielded Michigan about 5 minutes of air time on MNF. It was glorious. Hope Dee Hart was watching.

For all the struggles and limitted draft picks over the past two years, it is awesome that UM still had 6 (!) players in the Pro Bowl last year (the most UM players ever). I don't know of too many other schools, if any, that can match that. It's fun to watch the kids go out and be successful like that after they hang up their winged helmets.

JAWS meant to say "Hoka Hey"

My favorite part was when Brady was still in the game with 3 minutes left and the announcers were discussing why. One of them alluded to Brady's backup, Bobby Hoyer and said "where did he go to school?" the answer, obviously, is Michigan State, and he implied Brady just doesn't want to let little brother get playing time.

If Denard continues at this pace, he will be the first Heisman trophy winner to top 3000 points in the Heisman voting. No shame in saying you wouldn't start in place of Denard right now.

It is awesome that Denard is even getting mentioned on MNF. His positive hype is probably the best recruiting tool that we have right now, which is awesome as we head into prime recruiting season.

Denard is everywhere. Two of three commentators on Around the Horn said he'd already wrapped up the Heisman as long as he doesn't get some sort of flesh eating bacteria infection, and one of the two guys on PTI said there was no way anyone else wins as well.
Not sure I believe them quite yet, but I love that people are talking about it.
I love Brady and Henne, but neither one was this fun to watch.

Late in the 4th quarter, did you all hear the Tirico gem? They were all wondering what Brady was still doing in the game. They were talking about how Brady doesn't give up snaps to the back up Hoyer. Also, not even in practice unless Belichick demands it. Then Tirico pipes in, "Where did Brady go to school? and where did Hoyer go to school? Of course, Brady isn't going to let Sparty on the field."

Haha, I didn't catch that. That's awesome

Tirico does live in Ann Arbor. He regularly reps Michigan.
