Best guess for Ron T.
Ron Thompson is supposedly deciding soon...next week or so. It seems like he still wants to go Blue, but if he believes there isn't room for him, where is your best guess for him to go?
If he goes elsewhere, I'm feeling that Indiana may have jumped up his list since Gunner will be throwing the ball there. I'm still hoping he goes Blue, but I think we all understand if he doesn't.
He named a top three and was supposed to announce friday i believe. However this was postponed due to his offer from Illinois. My guess is that he will take more time to sort this out and either will go to Illinois, or because of his wait a spot will open for him here and he will take that.
What schools were in his top three before the Illinois offer?
Supposedly, in order, Syracuse, Indiana and Michigan.

i will be scratching my head if hes able to be in this class. He stays in the big ten.
It's clear that Michigan is not going to take a third TE. They might have if OT recruiting didn't go well and they could move Williams to OT, but once Kalis committed any hint of a commitable offer for Thompson probably went out the window.
and say Kallis is a guard. With Braden and Magnuson at Tackle, we still need Diamond. If he gets spooked by that depth chart, a move for Williams to OT could still be in the offing.
I think it's possible (though unlikely) we pick up another TE, but I don't think it would be Thompson. It would be another guy late, only after we struck out on Diamond/Banner/Allotherelitetackleoptions.
So in short, I don't think Kallis' commitment took his spot, I think Magnuson's and the yet-to-commit-OT-to-be's did.
Given his chemistry with Shane Morris, it's too bad he didn't commit a shade sooner. But in the Hoke world, you snooze you lose and I think Funchess will be a matchup nightmare for most linebackers.

I agree, him and Shane Morris were really connecting during the 7 on 7 championship game, I'd like to bring that relationship to UofM in two years.

He has great hands, but looks fairly slow. He's also light right now for a TE, and it's not all good weight. Happy with who we already we have.
I predict he elects to...postpone his decision for the 32nd time.

Haven't really heard anything from him or his camp. If your ranked as high as he is (within state espically) a little fanfare should be required...just sayin.
Think it will be a push, UM isn't going to take him so I don't know why he would need to decide now. Might as well wait it out and see what happens through the season, maybe earn another offer or two
