to add this to my other post with the rules and schedule, but you beat me to it.  I tried to look up some box score from last year, happened upon a new schedule and immediately felt the need to post without waiting for the headline.  I'm stunned Red signed for 3 years, but that is way awesome.  I  vote we send him out with 3 consecutive national championship, undefeated seasons (knock on wood).

The 1970 Cornell Big Red are the only Division I men's NCAA ice hockey team to record an unbeaten, untied season. The last college to finish undefeated was Bemidji State University (Div II) during the 1983-84 season.
...that would be damn amazing and if Red's Catholic, he might then be eligible for canonization.

300 short of Mason, so probably not going to happen in 3 years, unfortunately.  Mason had a higher winning percentage too, so he'd have to coach more seasons than Mason and Red got a late start coaching college.  Given the way things have been going at State though, he might catch Comely for 5th.

I'm willing to go best news of the week or even best news since Fort Wayne.  Red* is the rock of stability on South Campus we so direly need right now.

*--So, too, is Hutch, but this is about Red.
