Bennie Joppru had a stroke

Former TE Bennie Joppru, 32, had a stroke recently.  He seems to be ok, but very young to be dealing with a stroke.

Wow that is young!  Hopefully it's not a result of all the head contact during his playing days.

It was easy to like him.  A very nice guy and one of the best tight ends we ever had.  He was awesome in 2002.  I don't ever remember him dropping a pass.  I wish we had thrown to him more often.

Hopefully he recovers quickly.  32 is way too young to have a stroke.

My wife is a nurse in a physical rehab facility, and she's had a 26 year old man in there who was wrecked. The nurses she worked with had a 17 year old kid who had a stroke a couple years back who was able to come mostly back but had very noticable facial droop. She has a patient now who had an infarction caused by a thrombosis in their arm.  Blood clots are freaky, man.
