Benjamin St-Juste Composite Ranking up to 466 overall 43rd CB

Submitted by RED DAWN on

The Canadian cornerback has been gradually moving up the recruiting rankings.  A few months ago he wasn't in the top 1000 players in the nation then he moved to around the top 750 and now his is firmly in the top 500 on the 247 composite rankings.

I know some people felt after he reclassified to 17 from 16 that he was in danger of not being in the class.  Kudos to the kid for going to the NJ camp and posting great combine numbers and competition results to prove his worth.

You do realize this is more proof to MSU fans that the recruiting sites are biased and gave him the bump because he's a Michigan commit right?  Ignore the fact that he's been committed for a year, he just slipped through the cracks but Harbaugh reached out and they adjusted his ranking.

recently competed at the Nike Opening regional in Jersey (May), which resulted in his Opening invite July 5-10. Figured his bump had more to do with scouts being able to eye him then.

"At the regional combine St. Juste ran a 4.64 40-yard dash, a 3.93 in the 20-yard agility shuttle, and a 34.9 vertical jump."

Your user name should actually be "Yoda, Was I Before". Not "formerly Yoda". And he's not top anything in the nation, he's Canadian. Y'all need to check yourself before you boo others. Sparty fans have a legitimate argument here, as a lot of people didn't think he'd end up in the class.

And Harbaugh has a stupendous eye.

Congratulations on the well-deserved ranking bump, St.-Juste!  All the training and the hustling are paying off.  Can't wait to see you in the Maize and Blue!

May St.-Juste yet become the Stauskas of Michigan Football!

I see their star ratings and or scores come down more than go up after UM gets their commitment. I don't remember very many Ben st Juste bumps after UM gets their commitment, I would call that the exception and not the rule.

I honestly could not give a shit what staee fans say. They may have won some games here recently but they lost all of their credability while doing so. They have become so obnoxious  it is damn near impossible to meet one you can have an honest debate with. I could go on and on with things they say and do when they are trying to put the "sparty spin" on their football team  but I have already said more than enough about staee. And as always GO BLUE!

St-Juste is the 7th ranked player in Canada.  Their current player rankings are HERE.

Apparently, there are only 10 players worth noting, but all have US college commitments except for a QB at number 6

Well...not exactly. That's a list of 2016 prospects. Patrice Rene (UNC), Chase Claypool (Notre Dame), Daniel Joseph (PSU), etc., have already signed with their teams and will be freshmen this fall.

St-Juste is a 2017 prospect.

Also, a chunk of those players transferred to American schools. Whether they still count as "Canadian" prospects, I don't know or really care, but Rene (Virginia), Joseph (Illinois), etc. ended up in the U.S.

FWIW, Michigan is recruiting Luiji Vilain and Jonathan Southerland, both of whom came from Canada and ended up at the same school as Patrice Rene at Alexandria (VA) Episcopal.

I see St.-Juste moving up to a four star on the composite when it's all said and done. He's already moved up in Rivals. I'm sure Scoutt and 247 will update his rating sometime. He's been really good at camps so it seems like it should happen.
