"We want to take the next step, we're trying to become champions,"Beilein said Friday. "That's the goal of every team that puts on the maize and blue. They're trying to be champions of the Big Ten.That's the ultimate goal."

The article linked discusses the team's goal, defensive looks against Trey Burke, rebounding for the upcoming game, and an update on Jon Horford's status for playing/redshirting.

For the weekend in the Big Ten, here are some notable games: #1 OSU plays today @ #2 Wisconsin at 2pm EST. #2 Michigan plays tomorrow @#4 MSU at 1pm EST. #7 Indiana plays today @ #5 Purdue at 7pm EST.

After this Sunday, Michigan has 7 games left in the regular season.  They are: @Neb, ILL, OSU, @NW, Purdue, @ILL, @Penn St. on March 4. Go Blue! Take the next step toward the team's goal; leave Izzo's team and the Breslin Center silent and stunned on Sunday afternoon.

If we take care of business tomorrow I think we have the best shot for the Regular season Championship. The 2 best teams (Illinois and Ohio) are at home and our road games aren't *that* terrifying

Huge game tomorrow. Would be nice to sweep State two years in a row. It is so tough winning on the road in the big ten though and we aren't necessairly the greatest road team in the world, but I am feeling confident. For us to win THJ needs to get out of his funk and stop shooting so many 3's. Just use your athleticism and drive inside and get the easy 2 or drive inside and dish it out to an open Novack, Stu, Burke etc.....Anyone else feel this way?

to say the least. MSU looking to breaking our winning streak, likely without the full capabilities of their top player, Mr.Green. Michigan is looking to post their first back to back wins since early January. I say the biggest thing to look at is how THJ and Smot play D. If they are making sure they contest shots, get charges, and create havok on the offensive end for the Spartans like they did against IU, I'm thinking an easy 10 point margin if they don't blow it like aginst IU. Another thing to look at is offensively where the ball goes, if Morgan is getting touches and facilitating fouls from Payne and Nix, then this game couldeasily turn putrid for the Spartans. My prediction6: M 68- MSU 56

EDIT: DRIVE THE HOLE, TIMMY!

some teams that put on the maize and blue may disagree.  Hockey for example (until next year).  Their goal is the CCHA.  Lacrosse plays in the ECAC, not the Big Ten.  I think Water Polo is in another conference.

Can't disagree with his premise though.  Win your conference first.

In other Hoop Rock news (not new thread worthy) but White Thunder broke another backboard today..... with a windmill dunk. Per his twitter feed @MitchMcGary33
