As most of you know, the off topic season is reserved for "after football season" on MGoBlog. After some confusion about whether football season ended after The Game, or whether it ends after the Outback Bowl, I emailed Brian and got a response saying that off topic is now fine. Before we get to the posbanging, I do have a refresher for everyone who has been around off topic season before, and news for all the new members.
- An off topic post is anything other than: Michigan athletics, scheduled opponents or Big Ten sports, the blog itself and University of Michigan topics. The gray area is NCAA sports in general and Ann Arbor topics. None of these require an "OT:" tag, and titles may be edited as needed; please keep titles and tags as clear as possible.
- Threads about any of the following are likely to be deleted and may result in Bolivia/bans: politics, religion, Drew Sharp, Mike Valenti, Ace Williams. Tread very carefully with Bleacher Report. If in doubt, it's probably not a good post.
- On topic season may still go back into effect before fall, but there will be an update posted before that happens.
profitgoblue and I are offering a 100 point prize to the funniest user-created comment in this thread. Extra consideration goes to new content, funny .gifs videos, and especially mspaint/photoshopping, but we reserve all rights to determine a winner in our sole discretion and all rights to send people who post inappropriate items to Bolivia for the holidays. (You may be asking yourself at this point whether Kate Upton pics/gifs inappropriate . . . you will likely soon find out!) The prize will be decided by the two of us with plenty of crowd input, [ed] and will be up for grabs throughout the afternoon.
The winner of the 100 point prize is...BlueReign, for his mortar gif (according to profit) and his rhino gif (my pick). Enjoy the 167% point bump. ChopBlock gets 50 points as a runner up for his original photoshop. Honorable mention goes to WisconsinWolverine, but profit and I felt he was already a winner for this post yesterday.
