Beer appreciation thread

Submitted by Woodstock Wolverine on

That game made me drink way more than I should have. So now I’m pretty buzzed and will probably have some more and take tomorrow off!

It’s officially March Madness and we have an amazing team!

What’s everyone drinking this weekend? I have a keg of Sloop Brewing Co. Juice Bomb (I have a kegerator) and some “Most Rightous Bourbon” for after the wee ones go to bed. Go Blue!

*on phone so formatting sucks.

**made it to computer so now its better.

Stone Hop Revolver Herkule. Normally a fan of Stone's stuff. This one has a weird peppery flavor though. Fortunately the other 3 beers in the variety pack are very good. And I have some Great Lakes Holy Moses in the fridge, which is a great Belgian White (brewed in Cleveland, naturally).

Has to be the first time our 2 best players got fouled out in the Beilein era? Proud that we were able to pull this win out of our ass, on to Nebraska!

Thought I'd try Founder's new lager they came out with, Solid Gold. Not my favorite cheap tasting beer. Thought they were gonna make a bland style of beer less bland.

If anyone is willing to send some Boss Tweed to me in Iowa to drink during the tournament games in 2 weeks I'll send some of my locals in exchange!

So do people prefer Steratore with his signature "4 MAJOR bad calls per game and constant monitor-watching" style or do you prefer the "Million calls a game on Everybody" style that was present today?

Irie IPA by Tighthead brewing company. They are in mundelein IL, right near the train i take back into Chicago. They make great beer.

Did anyone else have any doubt that...

...the video review would go against us?

...we'd get a phantom 5-second call?

...we'd miss that front end with 28 seconds left?

...they'd hit the clutch 3 with 16 seconds left?

I've seen that movie a few too many times.  Fortunately John Beilein CANNOT BE STOPPED BY ANY FORCE OF NATURE in the first round of the BTT!

I like you, Woodstock Wolverine. I finished my keg of Lone Pint Yellow Rose last weekend and have a keg of Independence Convict Hill en route. But I'm stuck at work today so haven't chipped away at my beer fridge contents as one should on such days.

FYI, it was a phantom call.  As soon as Rahk touched the ball while it was out of bounds, the 5 count started.  He then moves in bounds and Simpson picks up the ball already 2 seconds in the clock.  Can't touch the ball and then leave it.

Worst officiated game I’ve seen in a long time. My remote is literally in 20 pieces. Thank goodness I already DVR’d the timeslot for tomorrow bc I wouldn’t be able to now

Brought home a growler of Huma from Shorts last weekend thinking that it would last me through the tournament.  Gonna need more beer for tomorrow's game.
