that's perfect. our worst team in years and they are barking. Basically 4 of our theoretical starting 5 is in the NBA plus Walton/Levert injured. Izzo will never reach the FF again and he and his team just can't take it.

Individual guys jawing after big plays/wins is a little different than having your entire team line up at half court during warm-ups. I've never seen any team do this. It's pretty much the definition of little brother.

If MSU's best player did either of those things...no problem.

If your entire TEAM is going to talk shit...your entire TEAM better be good. MSU is not. They're trash this year. If they were a top 10 team and had a decent record versus Michigan in the recent past? Then I'd have no problem with this.
You have to put it into context.
This would be like Michigan beating MSU 14-13 in football next year, going 7-5 on the year and then coming out in 2016 acting like we own them.
Your example would be like Devin Funchess blowing kisses to the crowd after scoring a TD when we're doing 21 points.
Both of those would be fucking ridiculous and I would be embarrassed if that was Michigan.

This is why they are MSU in a nutshell.
The school, their fans, and team are all a fucking joke. The local media is a fucking joke that has pretended/ignored Michigan hasn't had the better basketball program more often over the last few years.
This is why their famous nickname will never go away. It has nothing to do with sports. Its a mentality, a mindset.
The difference between the schools is that one school has a coach that will adress this type of stuff through the media and the other will address it behind closed doors.
If Michigan did something like this, it would be all over the local papers how disrepectful it was and would become a national story.
When Michigan State does something like this, its passion and hatred.
Our coach could bitch and moan about his team being devastated by injuries. He doesn't. He says the other team played better and won.
Beilein barely said a word about McGary's injury last season.

Listen, uofm basketball has been fantastic recently. You cant say much negative about the 2012 and 2014 teams. However im confused with the MSU is trash recently comparison. Hasn't MSU won 3 of the last 6 B1G conferences? with 2 final 4's and 1 NC game in that period. Also recent records are 3 in a row for MSU vs UofM.
There is no question that John Beilein is an awesome coach that deserves to have tons of praise heaped on him. UofM also deserves tons of respect for everything they have done over the pervious seasons. However trying to write off recent MSU basketball as trash is either ignorance or anger...but it does not come from a place of logical thought.

This team isn't good.
I didn't say MSU as a program or MSU in the past 20 years.
I said this team. They are not good. Neither is Michigan, but Michigan wasn't talking shit as a TEAM before the game - so that's beside the point.
If this TEAM was good THIS YEAR...then talk you shit before, during and after you win. No problem. If this was UK, no problem with it. It's not the classiest thing, but hell, they're a good fucking team. Beat them if you don't like it.
These losers are standing at midcourt while having a very medicore season by their standards. 3rd place teams don't talk crap. 1st place teams do. Be first place before you talk. Or own the recent history...then talk. MSU doesn't have rights to either claim.

What MSU did was very little brother. Just like the Michigan flag thing...guys, they've owned us as of late AND we're not even a good football team. Shut up and play football.

I get that the photo looks like it, but I can't find any other sourcing confirming that the MSU players were actually heckling Michigan players. I'd be interested if there was.
