The two or three weeks leading up to the season are the most excruciating, always. Well at least after college. Then, it was two more weeks of playing basketball for four hours a day then going to the beach. Now, it's holding breath for injuries, or Freep expose.

We could let this stand as a Monday posbang, I suppose.

I will mention, however, that we're now definitely in the waning days of the OT Season - right now, projecting that it will end at 12 midnight on Sunday, August 31st, although we could move that up a few days to allow for a full week of football coverage before the start of the season on the 3rd. More to come on the precise cutoff and a normal posting of the rules to follow.

"Student athlete" was a term created by the NCAA in the 1950s in order to avoid paying worker's compensation benefits to the widow of a player who died from a college football injury. Without commenting on your views on unions, which you're welcome to hold, your statement that they are student-athletes rather than employees is very much by the NCAA's design.

What is this board coming to, does no one respect traditions? Same with the 11:49pm on Thursday posbangs. Posbangs need to be reserved for first thing in the work day on Friday. Brian needs to up the point total to start threads to about 2,500. Make this here shit respectable again!
