Beat Notre Dame

Submitted by BlueTuesday on

Of the countless reasons I have to dislike Notre Dame, I find this one to be particularly annoying: Notre Dame claims a 16-14-1 "modern era record" against Michigan even though the teams have played 40 times. They don't have any problem counting all the wins they have ever had dating back to 1888 though.

If you're a Michigan Man then the truth is much better: Michigan holds a 23-16-1 lead all time against ND and with the series ending after next year, it sure looks like Michigan is going to maintain a winning record against them for many years to come.

Anybody else got any reasons to dislike Notre Dame? "Because they're big stinky poo poo heads" would be one acceptable answer.

Tomorrow we make it 24-16-1 all time.

Beat Notre Dame.

Facebook post about the game and some ND fan said this modern day BS to me . Nothing pre 1908 really counts because no one is alive today from then to see it. He said.

What is wrong with people? I guess the Bill of Rights doesn't count too because it's old...

There's just something special about night games isn't there? Incredibly hyped for tomorrow. I can't see this game measuring up to the game two years ago, but let's hope UM can pull this one out a little more comfortably. I have a strong urge to scream GO BLUE or TO HELL WITH THE IRISH. I'm sure it's not just me.

I love when people pick and choose dates that suit their arguments. It just makes so much sense, especially when comparing the success of the college football team you root for.

I live in Southwest Michigan only 30 miles from South Bend. There is nothing worse than dealing with delusional return-to-glory assholes on a day to day basis.

In my time in GR, AA and even Chicago, nd fans were a bit of a nuisance. But here? It's the team of choice for every mouth breather. I live in Benton harbor and work in st joe...domers are everywhere here. I know a number of incredibly white trash folk with big ND tattoos. I think of that every time an nd fan tries to say they don't have those bandwagon Walmart fans. Lets just say that a lot of Irish caps & shirts last year still had the tags on. And the Te'o apologists were hilarious...he was a victim!

UTL there was this couple behind me cheering for Notre Dame......Wouldn't shut up whenever they were in the lead.  While they were up, I bet this guy my T-Shirt for his girlfriend's T-Shirt that we would win.  As soon as we scored the winning TD he grabbed her hand and walked her out......SORE LOSER!!!!!   I wish I knew how to post a pic.......she was cute

This weekend is campout for graduate students at Duke. I was lucky enough to get a Dr's note saying that I couldn't participate which means I still can get tickets to the Michigan @ Duke BB game and I can watch the game from home instead of on an iPad on the back for a uhaul after not sleeping for 24 hours.

Michigan: 31

Notre Dame 13

I know history hasn't shown this to be the case. But I think we have more weapons on offensive and options and I think Matison D only allows 1 TD and holds to FGs. Prediction Frank Clark knocks Tommy Reees out if the game.

That's just wrong anyway. The series is 14-14-1 since 1978. If they're counting the two games in the 1940s, they're still wrong, because we split them, so it's 15-15-1 since 1942.

In any event, I look forward to the Don Criqui highlight reel being extended after tomorrow's game.
