Beat Nebraska!

Submitted by ChalmersE on

In all the excitement over the OC, let's not lose sight of the fact that there's a basketball game tonight in Lincoln.  A win in this game will likely mean Michigan opens the B1G 4-0.

Go Blue!!!

Home/away difference, though we didn't play particularly well against them at home either last year, and with Tim Frazier playing they're no slouch.  While I agree we should win at home, well, to be cliche -- that's why we play the games.

Must win game tonight in a suprisingly hostile environment. People sayin it should be a sell-out so should be fun to watch. Hopefully michigan gets a big lead and doesnt have to worry about the crowd. Heres some games from last season to pass the time

Don't worry. None of us are playing, so it doesn't matter if we lose sight of the game. I'm looking forward to it though. I wish Michigan would wear their blue uniforms at home and maize on the road; scrap the white uniforms.

Last six games he has played much more under control with less than a turnover a game and a few assists each game.  Walton needs to continue to "push" the play and drive-n-dish to the perimeter or trailer.  I'm thinking he will have an alright start tonight then a solid second half.

This is not a gimme.  Nebraska is 8-6, but their RPI is 68, while ours is 52.  They've played a tough schedule (25th nationally) and seem to have a huge split between home and road performance, more than a typical team.  They're probably an NIT-caliber team and on the road they could be tough.  To get a second road win this early in league play would be big.

stayed with them through most of the first half. The game turned in the second half similarly like Michigan's game with Northwestern. They have plenty of size and numbers off the bench. Michigan needs to be patient on offense and reverse the ball and attack off high ball screens so they can get to the basket and kick out for outside shots..

Nobody on Nebraska really stands out, but they do have a nice balance of guys who can shoot and get to the basket. They are good at offensive rebounding.

Nebraska's stats show a team that does everything pretty well, just not as effectively as league contenders. They are a team Michigan should handle but may have difficulty with facing them in the opener of their new basketball faciltiy. Everyone there will be geeked up for this contest, which ESPN2 is showing tonight.
