Bears sign former Wolverine Ryan Mundy to a 2 year deal.

Chris Conte's reign of terror is over.

Sadly not so fast with Conte. Unless they sign another Safety or draft one high then Conte and Mundy will be the starters. However, I doubt/hope that doesn't happen.

I don't think he saw the field in 2005 because of a medical redshirt, but yeah, he was in all but a handful of games in 2004 and 2006. I think he probably had his best statistical year at West Virginia in 2007, however - I think he might have even been in the top 10 in INT return yards in the Big East that year.

Watched him with my Giants last year. He played more than we had in mind after Stevie Brown went down for the year. Mundy wasn't terrible but he wasn't good either. Just kinda "meh."

Still amazes me he is a NFL safety. Very frustrating player to watch when he was at Michigan. With regards to Mundy, he always uses WVU in the introductions

Probably the same reason Fargas said USC and Mallett says Arkansas (or why Boren would say OSU, if he had anywhere to say it).

Not related to Mundy, but boy do Stafford, Suh and Megatron sure tie up a lot of cap-space. Seems like this has been one of the more active free-agencies over the past few years and sucks to be a bystander (especially when you're not a playoff team).
