BCS simplified...

We need TWO out of these FIVE things to happen to make the top 14 (although if Georgia wins, we might not even get the at-large):

1) Pokes beat up on Sooners.  By a lot preferably.

2) Les Miles takes care of business and helps out his alma mater.

3) Little Bro hits puberty for a day and wins (or loses by a LOT, like 35 a lot).

4)  Boise has one of the biggest upsets ever and loses to New Mexico.  Ain't gonna happen.

5)  K St loses to ISU...also unlikely, but who knows.

At this point, I don't think we can count on losses by LSU, Houston, Okie St, Oregon, or Va Tech to put them below us.

[Edit:  added K St...sorry I forgot they were "good"]

This ESPN reporter is wrong. This rule only applies if there are less than 10 BCS Bowl eligible teams. There are more then 10 this season.

Back to slight worried mode.  I'm still confident that the B1G loser will fall below us in the final rankings and LSU will win.

Hopefully these stupic computers will recalculate strength of schedule in the Big 12 to keep a 9-3 OU (projecting OSU beating OU) from being ranked ahead of us!

Well, as a Spartan fan, I don't care where we fall if we lose to Wisky.  It's Rose Bowl or bust.  Honestly, why worry about what bowl game or if it's BCS or not?  You've had a great year--go to a bowl game and kick ass.  After the Rose Bowl or the National Championship, the rest are just meh, anyway.

Honestly, why does a UM fan worry about the prestige of a bowl game?   It's like thinking a mountain worries about the weather--it doesn't, it makes its own.

Give me a break, we are going to a BCS game. Yeah, we are 16 now, but there is no doubt in my mind that no matter what, we move up to 14 by the time selections are made. BCS is all about the cashhhh and they will make it happen. I hope we get Houston so Mattison can show an NFL defense to Case Keenum and show that he actually just plays in C-USA and isn't as great as everyone thinks.

All we need is an LSU win.  That bumps Georgia below us.  Whoever loses the Big Ten championship game will also drop at least three spots.  That's all that will be necessary.  I guess if you want to be certain, I think a big Ok. St. win will probably be enough to jump the Sooners.  I also think a Houston loss drops them out of the top 16.  Propelling us into the top 14, and opening another at large spot.
